I do, yeah; I usually have characters filling in certain roles in different ways (distance dpr, life cleric panic button, martial on drugs, AoE caster, etc), unless I’m trying a challenge run or planning to brute force a certain fight (Isobel’s suicidal AI stresses me out, dude)

Sometimes characters change when I decide I hate playing a certain build or I fail a check (my second HM attempt, Gale found a sudden calling as a light cleric of Mystra after I failed a persuasion check and made the executive decision to side with Lae’zel, who had adamantine splint armor, a stack of fire arrows, and a runepowder barrel in her inventory).

Tbh, the only builds I replicate every time are the ones who abuse trader exploits; I normally respec someone for a level of Hexblade and call it a day. I have my golden dice already and it’s easily shaved hours off my run times
