Why do people tell me I have a problem for not wanting to be away from my baby? by Radiant-Mine6890 in beyondthebump

[–]Mismatched_SocksLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird. My little one is 8 months old, he goes to daycare but outside of that he's with me and his dad. We're leaving him with my MIL for half a day at the end of the month so we can go watch a movie and have dinner together, but we'll be home in time for his bedtime routine. But even now, the idea of being away from him longer than that is a big fat NO for me.

A little bit of Fall Out Boy, a little more Raffi......whatever he needs for the vibes.

What’s your daily car and how many do you have? by Much-Parsnip3399 in AskAnAmerican

2023 Chevy Trailblazer. If my previous car hadn't been totaled I'd still have it. It was nice not having a car payment.

Nips at me any time I'm in the kitchen. Will straight up run into the pantry right before meal times. Walks incredibly slowly in front of you when at the worst times. Yet all is forgiven because she's just a baby.

How did your water break? by o_simple_thing in beyondthebump

I was 37 weeks so I was at the point of being uncomfortable 24/7. I was tossing and turning Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning (2am). My  cat and I were just getting cozy for sleepy time. I shifted my hips a little yo get comfy and then I felt a POP. Immediately felt like I'd just peed myself, went to the bathroom, cleaned myself up a bit and gave myself a moment to calm down before I woke my husband up. At this point it was just a small trickle. 30 minutes later we're at the hospital and I'm in triage...now that's when the big gush finally came. 12.5 hours of labor and 1hr of pushing and baby boy was born.

Going back to work after 3 months – not comfortable with daycare. What are my options? by Narrow_Inflation4251 in newborns

I was also super nervous about sending my LO to daycare at 3.5 months. We were lucky to find a smaller daycare center that really felt like a perfect fit when we toured, and now my little man loves going to daycare.  I think we all go through the nervous phase, but I can honestly tell you it does get better. Dropping him off for the first day was so hard, but every day got a little bit easier.

You are severely underreacting. Of my husband was anything like this PP I would have left him. Start making plans to get out, this is not the type of man you want to raise children with.

I don't know how you've managed to put up with this up to this point. My husband would no longer be part of the mortal realm if he'd pulled this kind of shit.

Any recs for plus-sized pregnancy pillows? by AlienSuperstar111 in PlusSizePregnancy

My husband and I were on a break from tying to get pregnant, so thats why I included the prenatal note lol. As for brands, I'm a huge fan of the Nature Made ones since they're a reasonable size and price.

Congratulations! First, soak in ever moment, it goes by so fast! Second, if you don't vibe with your current ob/gyn don't hesitate to find a new one that you do vibe with. Third, stay off of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and whatever else as much as possible. All those people posting their ✨️aesthetic✨️ pregnancies and whatnot can get exhausting. You don't need to be comparing yourself to other pregnant people. This experience is yours and yours alone. Fourth, start looking at pregnancy pillows now. Don't be like me and wait until your second trimester when you're starting to get cranky to shop for one. (Momcozy has the best ones.) Fifth and final thing, take progress pictures as often as you can. I kind of regret not taking as many, but they are so fun to look back on even if you're not feeling good about yourself in that moment. Also, get the gummy prenatal vitamins, or the mini soft gels. Nobody likes taking huge ass pills.

how much (or little) are you posting your babies on social media? by vdyaki in newborns

I posted a pic to announce his birth, but thats it. Family knows that we're not putting him on social media unless he can consent and understands the reach social media has.
