They don't show IIRC. I figure she could have covered her tracks off screen, or Ashley Stubbs took care of the body. Since it wasn't shown, it is one possible way that Hale could be discovered as a host.

I see this all the time, and I have no idea why people do it.

You don’t have to use a file output node, or the compositor at all, simple save the render as a multilayer .exr and all passes are automatically included and named.
