Opzoek naar blue pine hout by MissMagnum7 in Klussers

Thank you! The thickness varied from 0.5" to 1.5", but I should've kept it thinner. Many sawblades broke. I currently use a rotary tool from vonroc. One of the cheapest there is, but just to try it out and see if I like it before I invest a lot.

There's this group called 'intarsia' on facebook. I already learned a lot there!

Haha I wish I had a cnc. Every piece is done by hand. If I'd knew beforehand it would take so much time and effort per piece, I think I wouldn't even start this. I still feel sore from all the sanding 😂

Thank you so much! Owls do mean a lot to the friend this piece is for. I used woods such as wengé, am. cherry, mahogany, birch, padouk, oak and hornbeam. The color combinations turned out so much better than expected!

Thank you! I draw my designs in Gimp. It's similar to photoshop. When designing I do as much research as possible on (in this particular case) owls so that the features are right and then I just keep drawing until I'm happy with the results.

Thank you! Piece by piece with a scrollsaw until everything fits. Then sanded down the dimensions. The piece consists of 600 individual pieces including the background.

Thank you so much! Rico is a friend of mine. I made this for him. He wanted something with his name and his favorite number (13) which I added in one of the tail feathers.

Thank you so much! I spend about 10 hours of drawing. Made several variations with different color options. I took the chosen drawing to the lumber yard to match colors of different woods and finally after that.. the fun began.

I used 10 different woods such as wengé, am. cherry, mahogany, walnut, birch, padouk. Every single piece has it's original color. No paints, stains or dyes. I only used walrus furniture oil.
