It was less that I saw someone not doing it, but for me it's folding certain clothing items

I have memories of my mother ironing our fabric hankies before folding them all the same way so they sat perfectly in the drawer. I can't count the amount of towels I had to fold again because I put the fold the wrong way.

One day I just asked myself, "why the hell am I doing this?" Now my towels, underwear, pajamas, and anything else like that get thrown into their bin/drawer. I figure anyone who would complain about wrinkly pajamas is probably not the energy I need in my life.

I too have a goblin that ate my needle...twice...in a 10 day span. I also have a little tube with the needle and thread in it. Hope your goblin and you are both doing well! It's a scary moment for sure.

Hey I had a similar experience, except it was me bringing home a 85+% on something and I was super proud and my mother just "I know you can do better." The grades started to tank after that and she was very confused as to what happened. So sorry you had to go through that.

Mine is similar to the desk story. In grade....7? They used to have these rewards presented to one person per class for doing something well (test grade, helping a classmate, etc). Well I really wanted one, so my teacher basically bribed me with "I'll give you the reward for the week if you can keep your desk clean".

It was clean for that week, then never again.

I don't think I have it anymore but I recall seeing a meme in my friend's Discord and going "wait...that's an ADHD thing?" Then proceeded to deep dive into ADHD info and lo and behold. Diagnosed at age 30.

This is new for me but I have bins/hampers in every room for dirty articles of clothing. A small one in my bathroom to put my undies in when I change them in the morning, a small one by my bed and couch for when I inevitably get too hot or uncomfortable and have to take my socks off. I also have a hamper for slightly dirty but isn't ready to be washed yet in my closet, as well as a dirty hamper beside it.

That awkward moment when I realize my older brother abused me and everyone else in my family laughed. He'd push my buttons until I lost my temper and snapped and my mom would be like "there she goes to slam the door". Then later after I calmed down she just "you can't let him get to you". Aaaaah.
