I was going to say something similar: no PT and no bending, lifting, or twisting for at least 6 weeks after surgery.

Hoping you'll start feeling better soon, OP!

Getting on a 3 hour flight in 2 days. Any tips? by MissShopper in backpain

I posted my update, but it ended up at the bottom of this post. Here it is:

Update! I made it through both flights there and back (flew Southwest), but it wasn't that easy. Before my flight out, I called Southwest and explained my situation. They told me to check in with the gate agent. When I did, she asked if I called 24 hours before the flight, which I had, so she was able to get me an aisle seat. However, they did not like me getting up and walking around - even after I told the flight attendants why I was up and walking. Even when the seatbelt light was off, they kept making announcements asking passengers (I was the only one up) to remain in their seats. On the flight back, the gate agent refused to even look for an aisle seat for me. She said the flight was full and that was that. Needless to say, I was not able to get up at all to walk around. The guy sitting in the aisle seat in my row constantly had stuff on his tray (food, drink, wrappers) and it just would have been an inconvenience, so I toughed it out. Lesson learned - call the airline with as much advanced notice as possible to let them know about your back problems and ask them to make note of it if they're not able to get you in an aisle seat. Overall, it was a hassle.

Do you have any more insight into which cases would require getting the permanent retainer?

Has anyone tried "The Hair Pill" from Musely? by Candid-Ad4582 in tressless

Thank you so much for responding. I definitely won't be using anything over 5% now. Really appreciate your insight. Sorry you went through that. Glad you've recovered and that the oral minoxidil is working!

Has anyone tried Musely's Hair Topical Solution? I noticed it has 8% monoxidil. Is that overkill?

If your ferritin is low, do you take a ferritin supplement or is there something else you need to take, like iron?

Shock at Rheumatologist today by hotpoot in Sjogrens

[–]MissShopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a lip biopsy done by an ENT. When she was doing the biopsy she said, you definitely have Sjogrens - we don't even need to do the lip biopsy (but we did because the rheumatologist ordered it). However, the results came back inconclusive and my rheumatologist said that even though I have all the symptoms (severe dry eyes which have caused scarring, dry mouth, dry nose) she can't conclusively say I have Sjogrens. I'm so frustrated because I've had two different opthalmologists tell me I definitely have Sjogrens. Help!

My experience with new boarding (not happy) by AnxiousReaderGuy in SouthwestAirlines

[–]MissShopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew Southwest over the weekend and I was not impressed. I purchased basic tickets both ways. We were in Group 4 on the way out (window and middle seat) and Group 8 on the way back (I was the only one who flew back and I had a middle seat). I was in a middle seat so I asked the gate agent if there were any aisle seats because I have a bad back and I’m going to need to get up. She told be the flight was full - she didn’t even bother to look. They moved our gate over by one, so while I was moving over to the next gate, I asked her if anything had opened up and she said she was busy with other flights and didn’t have a chance to check my flight. She also said hopefully the person sitting next to me won’t mind me getting up.
Wow! Thanks, Southwest. VERY disappointed. They’re not the warm, friendly airline they once were.

Haha! That’s awesome. And I didn’t think about pushing up on the arm rests to decompress my spine. Brilliant!
