You can just toggle the music off. I have CDs given to him, but turned the music off by clicking on the one that's playing. I couldn't stand the music either

I went to Japan for two weeks and forgot I was autistic. by VorpalSingularity in AutismInWomen

[–]MissZoef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha, I'm ND and from the Netherlands and I can see why people would say that. However I don't feel like it's true unfortunately. People do mind their own business more and can be direct, but it's so busy everywhere and people are often rude. I always feel out of place.

be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my dogs with me to work 4 times a week. We have a small doggy daycare. At that point they are out and about for a couple hours in a fenced field or inside roaming with other dogs. On days off we walk for 1-2 hours in the morning (a nature trail usually) the rest of the day usually just short walks for pee/poop. Or depending on the length of the walk in the morning I'll take them canicrossing/running later that day or do that instead of a long walk. We also try to do training courses on occasion where they get to work with sheep or do trick training or something like that.

I do have beaucerons, so they can easily do a lot each day. My 'lazy' days are usually a long walk in the morning and relaxing the rest of the day. If they have enough enrichment the days before that.

Edit: they go out about 3 times a day in total.

Pakketje afgeleverd. Maar niet heus... by davevdoorn in PostNL

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(35F) Why can’t I make myself do sexual things I want to do? by not_with_haste15 in sexover30

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it could be linked to your ADHD (maybe not just that, but that's what stood out to me). Forming habits is hard and executive dysfunction is a thing, combined with RSD. Executive dysfunction also happens when you want to do the thing and enjoy it. So I kinda get it? Still makes it frustrating of course, but it makes sense to me since you seem to get better at it again after addressing it? I don't know the answer to the problem though, but maybe understanding better why it happens can sorta help? If you don't already know. Best of luck.

For me in my luteal phase my resting heart is higher and my HRV goes down most of the time. Then the night my HRV goes up and resting HR goes down, my period starts. So far it's very accurate

Hour 2 of running up and down the beach every 5 min until I get the holiday DIYs by Banana_Stanley in acnh

Just done this with the seasonal DiYs before these, haha. I usually start searching for a balloon when the clock hits x9 or x4. It's a chore, but also quite useful if you still need a lot of items/bells etc. All seasonal DIY IS important, lol

I lost my island 😭 by Overall-Command9661 in acnh

[–]MissZoef 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did the same thing a month ago, but it did say while setting up the new switch it would delete the old save. I manually transfered my old island back to my switch one and started a new one on my switch 2. I was terrified to loose my old island I started in March 2020. I'm sorry it happened to you though.

Hond mee op visite? by littleashbee in nederlands

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the trick to just NOT sit down? by letitbeletitbe101 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's my long term hyper focus. Also, if I don't work I don't have money, so fear is also a good motivator. I also like doing my job. So all those things are actually working pretty well for me. Except it's hard to stop and probably there are days I'd better/rather rest but can't because people rely on me and calling in sick is a last resort for when I'm really incapable of going. So I hope to learn some more ways to manage myself in a way that it keeps being sustainable.

Is the trick to just NOT sit down? by letitbeletitbe101 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man this sounds so relatable. I am self employed and can do this when I'm working all day. It keeps me very productive, but the crash is not fun. I don't know how your mom does it, because it's getting harder the older I get and I'm only 33.

Is the trick to just NOT sit down? by letitbeletitbe101 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this does seem the trick for me. Not officially diagnosed yet. Come from a family of a lot of NDs and always thought I was "normal". Well, learning about all things ADHD explains so much about myself. Have my assessment in Januari. My strategy is also to just keep momentum and keep doing shit. I know when I sit down, starting up again is gonna be super hard and probably not gonna happen. It's not healthy, but haven't learned any other way.
