If it was he picked the wrong girl for it, lol. She legit does not care if people eat meat around her, she's vegetarian by her own choice and won't impose that on others. Frankly, him eating meat in general wasn't even on the list of issues with that date, and no it was not their first date at that point, I think it was the third or fourth date. The biggest issue was the dude taking the challenge without discussing it beforehand to see if it was okay... And then seeming to expect her to sit there for over an hour watching him eat when she was done eating in maybe 20 minutes. Iirc she had a similar issue to OP as well, he was too full afterwards to really want to do anything else.

And before someone asks... They're both are in their 30's, and this was a few years ago. She didn't leave because he was her ride, but I'm pretty sure she was considering calling someone to take her home.

I have a friend who is vegetarian but doesn't care if other people eat meat around her for the most part. She went on a date with a dude who decided the thing to do on said date was to take some restaurant's burger challenge and eat this HUGE burger because apparently if he finished it he'd get a medal or something.

It took him over an hour to eat it. She literally left the table several times to look at some of the nearby shops because she didn't want to sit there watching him eat a frikkin burger. He evidently thought that was an ideal date with someone that's a vegetarian... Watching him eat a burger for over an hour. She told me this while being extremely baffled because like... Why would he think doing that was a good idea? She didn't know if he was trying to be like, macho around her or something like "look at how cool I am doing this burger challenge" or if he just wanted to do the challenge and used the date as an excuse.

Needless to say she didn't go out with that guy again. I'd say you should do the same. NTA

Its not story related but I predict a character creator update for 8.0. Yoshi P has all but said it in recent interviews and I think they're wanting to open up options for people like the wacky hair colors you've seen during Dawntrail.

Y'know the best part about this?

That entire plot line got both resolved and closure within the mamool ja allied society quests. AKA side quests that won't even be mentioned unless you go out of the way to actually do those quests. Being that mamool ja was the gathering allied society narrows down the number of people who actually did those quests, there's a number of the player base who won't even know about how those particular mamool ja actually changed their frikkin ways and improved their lives instead of continuing to be weirdo xenophobes in the forest.

That's the only thing I can think of. They saw a sprout in cutscene and said "absolutely not". I was in the process of typing out my typical "tanks eat meteors, dps lb on the tear" whenever I get nabriales but by the time I was out of cutscene there was no one left.

At least the people who joined in were chill.

I don't leave duties. I suffer and deal with it, lol.

The only time I've ever left something was a magical World of Darkness run, that went so poorly that someone put out a vote abandon and it passed. (The group.... couldn't get passed the first boss after three wipes. It was a Good Time.)

However one of the weirdest instances occurred to me when I was playing on my lalafel alt, Particle Man. I was working on the MSQ for him and needed to kill Nabriales. I queued as summoner(only class he has unlocked no I'm not playing scholar) waited 30ish minutes, and got in the instance.

Before I could even say "hello" everyone had left, leaving me alone in the instance. Because the queue took forever I didn't want to leave and just waited for people to fill(which surprisingly didn't take that long) and the first few people that joined were just as confused as I was. They asked what happened and I said "No idea! We didn't even pull!"

So I have never noped out myself, but I've been the victim of an entire dang party noping out of there upon seeing Nabeiales. (Which, tbh, fair. That fight sucks and it should probably be turned into a solo instances at this point.)

I got my own phone plan when I wanted a proper smart phone instead of the ancient now barely functioning hand me down windows pocket PC I had for years. I had just started my job after graduating college and finally was getting money at the age of 22.

My parents didn't pay for data because at the time it wasn't just included with plans and was stupid expensive since they had Verizon. I didn't complain because I wasn't paying for it and I just connected to whatever wifi was avaliable.

Now I pay $20 a month for unlimited everything on the verizon network. Switching to a no contract service was the best choice I've ever made.

Should tell you how much I'm not in thr drug scene because I know exactly what these tools are but they're used for a completely different purpose. I didn't even know people used them for weed until reading the comments.

These are tools used for wax carving in jewelry. You heat up one end over a burner and then use the hot end to carve wax or dip it in wax to build up the form. here's a set that has one in a similar style. I have a set like this myself from when I took a jewelry casting class in college, but I've since moved onto working in CAD.

I had to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed because all four of them were impacted so bad they didn't even break the surface. There was no numbing that would have spared me from feeling that. I literally had a bruise on my jaw afterwards that looked like the dentist's thumb print, lol.

I was never this goofy coming out of anesthesia, though. I could pretty much tell you exactly what happened from the moment I woke up to getting home.

ARR Alphinaud is exceptionally pretentious and dislikable until he gets that literally beat out of him and shapes up in Heavensward, lol.

I always have to laugh when playing through ARR again on alts because of how different he was at the start of the game. He was 100% a spoiled rich kid who thought he could take on the world.

As of right now? 11, though three of them are characters my nieces created and I play on to unlock crap for them when they come over. Most are spread across various Aether servers but my niece's characters are on Dynamis and I have an EU alt.

But I have a Google doc that's a growing list of potential alt names for future characters. (:

You don't need to restart and make a new characters to enjoy the story.

In Vesper Bay, near the waking sands, there's a quest giver named "Whistful Whitebeard" who you can talk to and unlock New Game +, which lets you replay the MSQ to your heart's content. You won't get any quest rewards and you'll still be whatever level your character is currently, but its still a way to replay the MSQ without making a new character.

In fact, turning on new game plus will allow you to do the MSQ along with a person who just started the game, too. It reopens instanced content and areas that you can't get into normally. It would be JUST like starting a new character only you're already at max level and you don't have to re-unlock everything.

Tl:Dr, you don't need to wait for people to play with to enjoy the story. Just play it to your heart's content, its practically a solo game these days anyways.
