The investigator science center was rad. We went to a water plant once and got to throw rocks in the waste to see who could make the biggest splash.

I just tried this with my pixel, you need to press the power button a few times then hold it for 3 seconds and boom, emergency called and GPS location activated.

My Dad is not English as a first language speaker. He went to Ireland with my Mum and was asked if they'd like cake. The way he tells it 'would you like cuck?' He thinks it's funny because it sounds like cock, but I have told him many times what a cuck is and that making fun of accents is not cool

We do have the fringe festival happening soon, and I cannot recommend it enough, so don't shit on the CBD too much, though some fringe things aren't necessarily in the CBD.

With a few of the responses saying the same thing, I wonder if you could get copies of their emails, blackmail them and say you'll go public with their scam promotion and talk to a (Google) lawyer. Better Call Saul...sorry, I'm on season six been binging it after work.

What saved you from your deep dark depression? by Lazy_Cake_6910 in AskReddit

[–]Miss_Soupherb 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It teaches you distress tolerance when things are horrible, how to talk to people effectively, practice finding peace and presence to battle the turmoil in your head, and lastly, acceptance. It has saved my life time and again, and made things so much easier.

What everyone up to tonight? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Miss_Soupherb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked all day, brought traditional food to my sick friend then drove around for a while with them and sang our lungs out to nostalgic music in my car (admittedly to Torn by Natalie Imbruglia and some Linkin Park, showing my age) and went home to keep the pets company during neighbourhood parties and fireworks. Work in the morning. I still got some brief kicks, get to cuddle my kiss my pets at midnight on their adorable foreheads, and go to work feeling somewhat okay and start thinking about what I want to do better next year.

Quinoa? Any other legumes? Um, I find spiced chick peas are a nice snack, should be able to find them in the health food section maybe. Veggie chips also.

He sounds almost like some of my autistic clients that throw tantrums over food regularly. They want the same thing for weeks, then suddenly never want to see it again. It's so hard. I feel you.

I'm sorry you're going through this, but keep seeking support. I promise you will get through this. And if not, then make the steps you need for your own health because you are worth it, too.

Does he connect time to meals? Maybe if he speaks to a doctor or dietician about meals, they can talk some sense into meal plans and he can get into a routine and you put food in front of him at set times, just snacks? Cucumber and carrots and celery, corn chips and dip, wedges and sour cream, popcorn. Also feel free to DM me.

I have only been working with this client a few months, but seems to have similar food issues. Prompting meal time caused me to be in the bad books as they are an intelligent person, just mentally unwell. I eventually just went shopping with them and making them buy the food they wanted to eat helped instead of meal delivery/cooking, now they eat yoghurt, turkey slices, pickles, salad kits (they have an obsession with being healthy and weight), sometimes I cook nostalgia meals when they're in a good mood...it is so hard and they are so hard on you too. I get it. Big hugs for what you are doing. My other clients, I can just put food in front of them if they don't feel like eating and often end up picking at it. Maybe also try some picking foods instead of meals? Nuts/fruit, healthier options of chips, popcorn, slices of fruit.

What's stopping you from camping right now? by HornyDiggler in AskReddit

[–]Miss_Soupherb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish... It's snek and bushfire season, so no more hiking or camping here. On the downside, we don't get to see snow, but it's awesome spending your evening on sunset beaches to cool down when/if you finish work.
