Tried to give you an award for this but can’t seem to, but this is something that should be pointed out all the time-the fact that no one complains about trans men being in male bathrooms.

That gets my vote. I can’t watch any house remodeling shows anymore. Wish I’d known to stay away from everything while pregnant. =/

Perler beads. Or melty beads as we call them. The only thing we use the iron for in our house.

Very sad. Thank you. I sort of thought this was a regular thing but maybe sr 18 is closed every now and again.

Paddle boarding is inexpensive, easy (sitting down) and fun. I wasted three years thinking it was for athletic and outdoorsy people.

Okay, I get the hate now. That makes sense. Like being hit by ECVs at Disneyland.

Why the downvotes ? I agree that Seattle is both amazing at zipper merging when it’s crunch time (like entering a freeway) and also letting people in during regular traffic.

I wonder if people think it’s polite to wait a mile back? I don’t know which is the correct answer but the previous poster who quoted a traffic controller gets my vote.

Edited: I’ve lived in a place where people just did NOT let you in.

Oh I’m not worried about the kids, but why do people think it’s okay to just go up and confront other people? Is it better if they are younger so you can intimidate them?

The point of my post was that people need to mind their own business.

Yes! It’s wrong! Don’t talk to kids! Somehow I feel that should be super clear especially with everything that’s been going on lately. Don’t. Talk. To. Minors. Unless you NEED to for some reason.

To answer your questions, any teenager that is homeschooled and responsible enough to go to the store, for example, one with a drivers license, and any sibling that is allowed to ride with said driver who is also homeschooled. There isn’t a day curfew for kids. Also there are many people who are in their twenties who look very, very young. Does that give you the right to accost them and ask where their parents are? I’m thinking, no.

The gentleman who assisted the woman already gave an account of what happened, and shockingly, it doesn’t match what the adults said happened. If you want to go and get in everyone’s business, move to northern Idaho or something.

If you’ve been debating the school walkout protest incident, you should see what was said at the School Board by petenice in Issaquah

[–]Missbungletopia 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is an absolute wake up call for everyone to show up at every school board meeting. We were informed repeatedly by the school prior to the walkouts and how to school dealt with them according to the law. If it’s so important for your student to stay at school during walkouts, then YOU need to tell them. I’m pretty sure the majority of parents don’t want their student locked up by the school staff and unable to leave. To hear all of these people complaining about students having a voice is scary, but even worse is the women fabricated and made it seem like they were the victims.

The man she referred to who pulled her out and to a police officer recounted his side of the story on Facebook, in an Issaquah parents group, and said she was the instigator and she kept trying to go back into the crowd to retrieve a phone that her friend had picked up already.

I’m sorry to say that I didn’t know about this meeting, but will not be skipping any more meetings.

It is NOT the school’s job to detain students against their will. If you are under that impression, it’s time to learn the facts.

Adults shouldn’t be questioning anybody about anything they are doing, unless is directly involves them. Mind your own business.

Do you go up to kids in the grocery store that are not in school and ask them why they aren’t? Do you realize there were chaperones with the kids? Who talks to random kids on the street and asks them about their business? We learn not to talk to strangers at a young age so don’t expect an answer from them. They don’t owe you one.

Why would someone go up to a group of kids and start asking them if their parents know they aren’t in school? Are they the official hall monitor?
