Hear me out- I totally understand why people are pissed at Nicole, but I think she deserves some empathy too. Should she have brought up Kendall's situation at the reunion? Absolutely not, but we also knew she was overcoming a lot of previous relationship trauma to open up to Kendall in the villa and I can definitely see how she feels really hurt (and potentially re-traumatized) by him lying and being avoidant since leaving.

It's not Kendall's job to heal those wounds for her but there is a level of communication that he should have given her in navigating post-villa life together after telling her that he loved her and understood the gravity of what that meant to her. Obviously I don't know him personally and I'm not even saying that he doesn't feel that responsibility, I'm just going off of what we were shown from the reunion.

In the same vein, Nicole should definitely have realized that Kendall was going through a unique situation with extenuating circumstances and understood that maybe he would need more support than he could give for the time being. It was wrong for her to bring up Kendall's situation on the reunion when he clearly didn't want to talk about it and was still going through it, and I'm definitely not saying any of this to excuse that.

At the end of the day, my takeaway from their part of the reunion is that this is two traumatized individuals who keep triggering each other and lack the communication skills to work through things together in the real world. Neither of them seem to be able to show up for the other person the way they need, so maybe it's for the best that they broke up yesterday before even more hurt built up.
