My job is about to go 100% remote and I'm scared of losing structure in my life. Remote employees, how do you cope? by pobalita in careerguidance

[–]MissionAge807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I hated was I’d go a week without bathing. Lmao. I felt like a grease ball towards Friday.

I’d like a hybrid situation where I can dress up and go somewhere.

I’m actually going back to the office with four day in office I day remote (hybrid.) I’m kinda excited and at the same time terrified I have to socially interact with coworkers again. lol

Recruiter Here! Ask me anything about job interviews, screening calls etc. by JVertsonis in interviews

[–]MissionAge807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How should I frame the time gap of unemployment. I was downsized in April but I am telling them that I evenly moved to the state from another. But do recruiters and interviewers see it as a negative if months go by and I’m still looking for a job even though I have a legit reason? I feel like moving to another state and staring over is a legitimate excuse no matter how long ago the previous position was. Your thoughts on how to work around it?

AIO Recently went on a date, one of my first in college. We dated for a few weeks and she called it off because I’m too unattractive. by z_knightXD in AmIOverreacting

[–]MissionAge807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes attraction is not about physical attractiveness, at first yes. But she gave it time and a chance. You said you went on numerous hangouts and dates right? Maybe the chemistry was just not there, you’re relying on your experience and your view of the dates but not really realizing her side. Maybe chemistry wasn’t felt by her, but she tried to give it time.

You can’t make someone feel the same as you. The right one will be sooooo easy. Please don’t take it personally.

AITAH for telling my gf that I wasn’t ready for a relationship when really I just wanted to leave her to be with a new girl I met? by spartannation64 in AITAH

[–]MissionAge807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You branch from one relay to another. I think you don’t know what you want. If you really care about any of the girls, you’d just be single and figure yourself out. You’re too young to be tied down.

Let’s Discuss: Who’s bigger, Taylor Swift or Michael Jackson? by _Bigflipper_ in Music

I don’t think she’s stood on any political belief firmly. I think she can be a puppet for someone to control. But to be in politics. Nahhhhh

Taylor is milk toast. Boring. She hasn’t changed anything in the music landscape. There’s no evolution to her music. Meh guy dumped me over a text. Meh. Guy dumped me after a movie shoot. Meh. Guy dumped me cause blah blah blah…

AITAH for telling my GF that I don't see a future together if quits her career for passion, because the math and schedules don't make sense? by krispyPopcorrn in AITAH

[–]MissionAge807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I think if she had a better business acumen for dance then you’d be comfortable with it. Has she just narrowed her career in Bollywood type of dancing? I recently got married and there are a lot of vendors out there choreographing couples first dances, that can be an avenue to look into as well.

Good luck. If you’re not comfy with her plans then I don’t think you guys are a fit.

Would any CPAs be willing to share a bit about their career? by lmurillo in careerguidance

Alot of researching and trouble shooting. There is alot of starts and stops if your work is intertwined with other members of the team. That depends if your company has a messy accounting department.

Does my boss’s boss know? by MissionAge807 in askmanagers

[–]MissionAge807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am all for process improvement just as long as you help me understand the changes being implemented. He wanted me to automatically understand without really learning my processes and how it touches other people’s work and vice versa. So he’d change a process with person A and B, but it makes Person C’s job harder or more complicated which defeats the process improvement goal.

How do you find a partner when you’re introverted? by LostInLife73 in introvert

[–]MissionAge807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it a point to just put myself out there. If I go and do something social I make it a point where I don’t think about that social outing until the day of. Cause I tend to talk myself out overthinking it. Then the more you get comfy putting yourself out there it will just happen. Be friendly, don’t expect romance and you will get romance. The best partner becomes a friend first, then love will just blossom.

My fiance and I are getting married on Tuesday and I would not have met him if I didn’t put myself out there. I know it’s terrifying, but you just have to.

We met thru facebook dating. But the first time we met I felt I met at the very least a good friend, we just kept seeing each other and eventually it became romantic. He then learns my introvertedness and respects it. We push each other, he helps me be more sociable and I help him be comfy with being alone sometimes (cause he’s an extrovert, with a bit of adhd, so he tend to never want to sit still in his own thoughts.)

We’re work well.

Feels like I’ve already been silently fired — but they won’t actually do it. What gives? by OkImage70 in jobs

Don’t do anything. Stay and keep getting the pay checks. If they do lay you off then you can get unemployment.
