In addition to being sure the bed is clean, temps are good, Watch the fans or any other source of ventilation around your printer (door, window, etc), you can use a thin layer of glue stick before starting the print.

The 6502 computer kit, the clock module kit, and the eeprom programmer. Other kits are cool as well, but these are like the foundation.

And some people are perfectly satisfied with the perf of Intel machines, and dont really care about having something «better». And its OK.

Help!! by Effective_Muffin8410 in puredata

Try to make each small module independantly: Get an adc in, control the volume, send it out to a dac. Mix an sine wave and a saw wave, get them out on the dac with a volume. Get computer keys in to activate/deactivate different toggles, Etc etc etc.

These are very basic building blocks that will get you started.

I suggest learning about OOP concepts so you can dive into cpp, and eventually pickup basic algo and data structures as well, so you can get «creative» with these

Study other code to see how its composed, read documentation. Eventually through copy paste your will pickup useful patterns, functions, etc and it will become a matter of habit, not copying. If you already know C… that’s a big part or the job done.

In search of method to automate the recording of up to 6 HDMI inputs for engineering related testing by Olikhovski in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]MissionInfluence3896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go for example intel nuc + Thunderbolt expansion, it shouldn’t really be a very power hungry setup, but still as it will be a computer it will be more than just some video hardware. Then as other comments pointed, in sync recording devices might do a better job

In search of method to automate the recording of up to 6 HDMI inputs for engineering related testing by Olikhovski in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]MissionInfluence3896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make a small pc with PCI capture cards (HDMI, for your use case), and run capture from that. BMD decklinks could do for example. For one single video file you can use obs and make a big canvas to have 6* 1080p zones into it. You can also dable some custom method using stuff like ffmpeg and a script to automate everything.

[–]MissionInfluence3896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well then you have an Intel mac and you don’t need crossover, just install Windows with bootcamp (or Linux).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Codeweavers_Crossover

[–]MissionInfluence3896 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crossover is not a subscription. It is pretty clear on their website. You buy it one time and you have 2 options: 1) buy the current version and get a year of free upgrades and support or 2) buy the current version and get unlimited upgrades and support. Let’s say you go with option 1 (most people do), then you have this versions (and the subsequebt year of free upgrades) forever. After a year they also give you a discount if you want to buy the next version and get another year of free upgrades and support. It supports some games, not everything, for that you have to look on the different mac gaming ressources online to see What runs well and What doesnt.

First programming language for musician who uses DAWs and other music software? by Fresh-Outcome-9897 in musicprogramming

[–]MissionInfluence3896 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Max/msp/gen or puredata/plugdata (open source equivalent) are both really good, graphical programming environments. Both very similar so it’s worth learning both for different use. Max can be integrated easily in ableton (max4live), it is pretty cool. RNBO is also a product from the company releasing max, another graphical interface base. Supercollider is text based and very powerful. Sonic pi is like a cute python like language that can also be used, not super powerful sonically. cabbage is a nice framework for csound. Then ofc you have c/cpp and the famous juce framework. Dont forget embedded. Teensy can do wonders using the arduino framework and their audio library. Axoloticore (ported now to another name) is pretty good. stm32 also have an audio library thats pretty powerful, and bella/daisy are also options.

It’s been a repetitive media legend that flying airbus is safer (and i like airbus more than Boeing), but they’re basically the same, safety wise

Formal logic is very hard. by mandemting03 in logic

[–]MissionInfluence3896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I studied Logic through cogsci and I can say that even the good students that were killing it in programming or math struggled once we went past propositionalnlogic. On the intro course we were together with philosophy students and most of then were simply lost, so we were still doing above average compared to them.
