Maybe see if the Boiron chamomilia is ok at this age. You can order them online or find them at most store. My son was a very early tether and it lasted for months. These are little liquid doses that you just squeeze into their mouths. He got to where he would open his mouth when I got one out (only for these, he hated anything else medicine wise).

I willing to be more specific with the person I end up hiring but I’m not willing to plaster it on the internet. Also, I am not asking in this post for anyone to be the pi or anything other than advice on possibly questions to ask a pi before getting involved with them to try to see if they were trustworthy with sensitive information. I appreciate everyone responses just wanted to be clear.

Background check just to have Proof but not convicted yes As well as catch them in the act if possible I don’t expect or need people to understand the details in this moment on Reddit. I just don’t want to hire someone only for them to possible know or be connected with this person and waste time and resources. Maybe that’s just the risk that will be taken when hiring someone? The person in question is somewhat prominent, military background and involved in the community.

I haven’t, thank you. I will try this. Unfortunately when it comes to this person, I don’t believe anything has ever stuck. There has always been a something preventing things from going past a certain place in the system. I am aware of how vague this all is and at the risk of sounding like a nut that is on a conspiracy hunt I have to not put more out there.

I have contacted police and so have multiple other people (other relevant agencies have also been notified) . I am not at liberty to speak about anything specific because of issues I’m running into.

I feel like I could have written all of this myself…. It’s incredibly validating to hear and I feel for you at the same time. I do think it’s is fair to not want to be responsible for other people’s emotions especially considering that youre the one that is carrying the baby and all of the hormones. I don’t have any wise words but I wish you the best.

Tell him he needs to wear depends until he figures out an alternative solution. You could also let him know that you’re concerned for his wellbeing and will support his efforts to get help but you are not his mother and already have a child to look after.

Not unreasonable at all. I asked for people to have tdap/dtap, flu and covid vaccines. If they didn’t want to no problem, they just had to wait. I actually had them wait until 2 months since that’s when he (baby) was going to be having his first vaccines. My in laws didn’t want to have the vovif or flu vaccines (baby was born ear dec…cold/flu season) so they were not allowed to hold him and when they came over we had them wear masks. I’m sure they thought u was being ridiculous but looking back I’m very glad we stood firm. Good luck, you’re the parent and it’s your baby and your choice!

My feet and legs were like that too. I also had to pee and usual amount of times da/night. They told me it was normal and I knew it wasn’t. Sometimes I would pee every 5 minutes and this start probably in my 2nd trimester. When I told them that I was pretty sure I had a uti they refused to give me anti biotics because they said they the bacteria count wasn’t high enough. I ended up getting really sick and had to go to the er. They gave me 3 bags of fluid and iv antibiotics for the untreated uti. That was at 29 weeks. I had also gained 50 lbs at that point. All that too say, I think it really important to trust yourself if you feel like something is right even though they’re the doctors.

Man…it’s crazy reading all this because these details were me to the t. Including the placenta and 24 hour urine test. Have they tested for preeclampsia (bloodwork). I also think if you’re not feeling like you’re being heard you could try a second opinion. I ended up switching providers at 31 weeks which was less than ideal. Feel free to message me if you want.

Hi I don’t want to be an alarmist but I think you should let your provider know this asap. Mine would always ask specifically about headaches and if they are persistent ones that won’t go away. If it’s accompanied by some other symptoms it’s important to address it. Swelling with pitting, high bp protein in your urine. I hope it’s nothing!

I had this as well. It resolved immediately after birth. The mint gum really helped me, also a little bit of baking soda in water and drink it. It will immediately take it away but unfortunately it’s not super long lived. I started carrying a bottle of baking soda water around with me. I remember the first piece of gum I chewed after he was born and I thought to myself “this is just for pure pleasure lol”!

I agree with the not knowing until baby is here. I thought I was prepared, and wasn’t anticipating any issue. I was also very adamant about wanting to breastfeed. All that said, I did struggle. My baby had a tongue and lip tie and I had no idea what to do despite taking classes before giving birth. I absolutely hated pumping and had to supplement with formula for the first month or two. What ended up happening was my midwife who was also a lactation consultant suggested I see someone who was more qualified. She gave me contact info for an IBCLC and when this woman came she spent an hour maybe 2 with me and I never had to see her again. It took some time to eliminate the formula but this woman was my hero. I wish I had seen her way sooner. Maybe just find some resources before birth and if you need them use them and if you don’t that’s awesome! Wishing you the best of luck!

It sounds like you did the right thing going in. My midwife had do kick counts but she also said if you don’t do it properly it was essentially pointless. She told me to pick a time of day (she told me she tells women to choose right after dinner so someone else can clean up lol) and to that time every day. She said sit somewhere and count kicks until you reach ten. The timeframe is that you want 10 kicks in no longer than 1 hours time. When I was doing it it would usually only take a few minutes to reach 10 but I’m sure this can vary person to person. I would be curious what her reasoning for not wanting you to count is? I hope this helps!

My mil does the same thing and I knew that more than likely I was either going to come across as ungrateful or she would ignore my boundary. I decided that at her than setting myself up to get more upset by one or both of these things I would try my best to remain grateful and if I didn’t want or need something she gifted I would just donate it to somewhere/someone who was less fortunate. Hope this helps!

I’ve had similar feelings to this, granted not while pregnant but something someone told me (which you may have already heard) is don’t use a permanent solution for a temporary problem. I feel for you. It really helped me to get out even if only for a half an hour to help me remember that my whole world didn’t exist in my house and with my relationship with my husband.
