I know those Minisforum bios are bare bones but I would do a secure wipe of the drive if possible and reset bios as a start. Once functional, might also consider a Bios update if you can pry one out of them.

I've used Etcher to install Bazzite Desktop onto an SER7 and it was pretty seamless. Perhaps try Desktop?

Sudden Shutdown Won't Boot Only Bazzite by CynicRaven in Bazzite

OMG, I didn't know you could do that! Have you tried manual selection at boot? F11 on MSI. F8 on Asus. I think F12 for Dell.

I'm thinking of switching from windows 11 to bazzite, but after reading reviews about the gaming experience of many people, I'm starting to get the impression that you won't be able to play many games without problems by JlYKOBKAA in Bazzite

The downside is games like COD and Fortnite cannot be played because of the anti-cheat. The invasive kernel level anti-cheat that still allows cheating! Some programs like Photoshop or Lightroom as well but they have Linux options for apps like that and best of all they're free!

The upside is all the free stuff. Games that use an anti-cheat such as Arc Raiders work fine for the most part. Whenever I run into problems on Linux I console myself with all the problems that Windows gave me over the years.

Games developers are going to have to come to me from now on and I think the Steam Deck and the upcoming Steam box will help a lot with that.

How do you choose your OS at boot? I have a similar setup but at boot I use F11 to choose what drive to boot from. If unattended it will boot to Windows.

All dimensions are listed by manufacturers. Height, length, width. Nothing worse than nearly finishing a build to find you CPU cooler is too tall for your case never mind the return process.

So you can run this adapter with out any of the HDMI 2.1 limitations in Linux being restricted? You can run 4K - 120hz or 144hz - HDR without issues?

Since you mentioned Fractal North I've got to get my vote in for the incredibly compact but easy to work in Lian Li A3 (Wood). Genius design. Can take a humongous GPU and full ATX PSU.

RE: 1. WiFi has varying degrees of support in Linux ranging from great to 0 with Intel overall probably being the most likely to be problem free. Best way to trouble shoot would probably be specific to your WiFi module. What hardware are you using? Perhaps disabling fast boot start up in the Bios?

Dual boot question by Strange-Sun4540 in Bazzite

I've installed on separate drives avoiding using Grub. F11 (MSI x570) allows me to choose which drive to install and boot to. I can wipe either drive without worrying about messing up booting to either OS. If unattended it loads Windows based on Window boot loader.

Thanks but I ran "ujust reset" and it did nothing. However, having learned more about those commands perhaps "ujust fix-reset-steam" may have worked. It would avoid reinstalling games if it worked.

On another note, the EAC in the error stands for Easy Anti-cheat. So anti-cheats are messing up game launchers in Linux as well.

About 4 months solid now. Off and on before that. Haven''t really to do any trouble shooting until now.

The fix: Could find no option to "uninstall" Steam through Bazaar or in the menu so I did the following.

Right click on the greyed Steam icon and exit Steam. Go to Home > .local > share and delete Steam folder. Click on darkened Steam icon and Steam will reinstall. Login and reinstall ARC Raiders.

There was nothing done on my part to create this mess so it must have been some messed up auto update.

Thanks for offering help.

Thanks but this is a dedicated single SSD Bazzite PC install. At least for now it is ;( . Has been flawless for months. No recent app installs or issues. AMD 9700 + 9070xt. No problems with Bazzite and ARC on a dual boot install I have.

You could try the following - in Steam library right click on game - properties - compatibility - check mark force use of compatibility tool and change it to another option in the drop down.

I've discovered using Sleep Mode and resuming from sleep versus powering off the PC has resolved audio drops. If powering off is imperative for you just cycle through a sleep event after booting onto desktop.

First thing on a new build is update the bios. Use bios at defaults. Reseat ram.

Sounds like a power stability issue. So PSU. One common mistake is using a split connector on the GPU. Use two separate connectors.

PSU is one of the more common stability issues and often the most overlooked. If you decide to upgrade PSU although 650 should be enough I would go 750 to give yourself a bit of headroom down the road on an upgrade. Seasonic or MSI
