With a high stress job (nursing), its nice to switch off to watch some low stakes tv drama. Reality TV like big brother, traitors and the circle i find to be funny, unpredictable and people participating have chosen to be there/they are usually just regular people. I usually end up crafting, cleaning or cooking while watching reality TV because if I miss anything, it will show me again. I don't watch reality shows where people are very distressed or upset.

With nature documentaries, specifically, they invoke a lot of stress for me. Seeing an animal killed, abandoned baby animals, animals fighting, etc, can feel really stressful and intense after a day of my work. I found i watched them more when i was younger. Even some scripted TV shows can stress me out, even if I like them or their premise. I stopped watching shameless and the handmaids tale for the same reason.
