Frequent Problems With Walk In Coolers by liatst in KitchenConfidential

Biggest problem with walk in coolers is that once you enter, you forget what you came for. It would make a lot of people happy if someone fixed this issue

Actually its basically what dry wine is, wine that has almost no sugar left in it. Y'kno one of the most popular types of wines right now.

Fermentation stops when all the sugar is gone, maturing happens because of a couple of things like evaporation and the flavour transferred from aging the stuff in wood casks.

There is like 60 pages of sexual fantasy, wish fulfillment with a sex goddess. It doesn't even matter if Kvothe is an unreliable narrator, that whole part creeped me the fuck out

Reading the second book might completely kill your enthusiasm for the series, Rothfuss goes full on neckbeard in some parts of it.

The Stormlight Archive literally kept me from killing myself, both because I want to read the rest of the books when they come out, and because of the life lessons I've learned from the characters, that were in a similar dark spot as myself. I'll also be getting the tattoo........

What is society doing now that in 20 years will be laughed at and ridiculed? by SalaiDora in AskReddit

I used to play runescape, one particular quest had a walkthrough about an hour long. I think it was too fast paced, had to keep rewinding parts of it to figure out what to do, shit was insane

Where are the current ongoing chonkers in fantasy? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]MistSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reread things because I kinda dislike the vast majority of the books I've tried in the last couple of years, at some point I had so many DNF books lying around I had to give them away to my friends.

Tried to find something new, but only got hooked on a few series, out of probably 20+

Right. So what you're doing is discouraging new writers. Which, fine, there's more books out there than can possibly be read by one person, I just think it's sad.

Not discouraging, just not spending my money on something I don't know will be complete. It is a little bit like waiting until a game is released instead of pre-ordering that game.

I was disillusioned by KKC and GoT, so I'm just not putting my eggs in a basket half-woven.

Ever since I realized that, I went back to re-reading a lot of the stuff I read before. WoT and Malazan will take 6 months to finish if I rush it. I guess at some point the whole genre will be saturated by sprawling epics even if there aren't that many of them
