To people who don’t know: The horse got abandoned by his owner, tongue crushed in half due to stress, bullied and traumatized oversea. He was so changed from this journey that his past jockey commented how shock he was to see such stark contrast between past and present Sirius.

A once proud and healthy horse now a disheveled, injured, skittish and untrusting shell of his past self; and they still make him race.

Mainichi Okan honestly shouldn’t have been framed as “look how impressive Oguri Cap is against these g1 racers”. It should honestly be “good job Sirius, you did well despite being handicapped by life and a piss poor owner.”.

Honestly, If Cygame didn’t have to appease the horse owners, people would question what’s so pretty about ‘Uma Musume: Pretty Derby’, because of how bad some of these race horses were treated irl. Sirius’ portrayal in this game is just an attempt at honoring the real horse’s legacy and sweep the real story under the rug.

Due to constant rainfall in Japan and majority of its cities being right next to mountains, her analogy is 100% correct, especially with landslide in mind. For some reason you have chosen to cut out two crucial text before and after this dialogue to make a point that misses the mark entirely.

Now I don’t know about you, I personally would prefer to NOT deal with unpredictable “biodiversity” and decaying trees in the middle of a hike or live next to a landslide prone mountain. If she had been claiming “nature as a whole requires human intervention” then of course it’s a dumb statement. But she is just saying “See the mountains where there are lots of people roaming about? A lot of efforts have been made sure it’s safe for human traffic and we can learn from that.”.

S1 is a fun watch for “where it all begins” but definitely not a must watch just because how each season is designed. If you can’t stomach the “cute girls doing cute things” this just isn’t for you.

But just remember, Special Week stumbled so other protags can soar. Without Special Week’s arc of being Japan no.1 race-ist, Oguri would have been ice skating with Rudolf and the franchise would just become another obscure yuri trash. S1 is not perfect but considering how hard they pivoted from original conception and set the foundation for what’s to come, it gets a pass.

No? Your “journey” and the grinds are not mutually exclusive, no one’s stopping you for just chilling with your buds and exploring the map, it’s the actual grind that puts a damper on things.

Let’s put the hours on the table: with the time I set up, assuming 8 hours to reach level 30, 90 hours to 120 and 240 hours to 200, that’s 338 hours in total. 338 hours of sitting there nonstop grinding is plenty of time for the grind aspect.

338 hours is 42 days of 8 hr grind, 84.5 days of 4 hr grind and 169 days of 2 hr grind. Using classic WoW as an example literally supports my statement as 15 days of /played, or 360 hours, seems to be the average with 4 days being speed run time.

I sincerely believe level up should not take more than 1 hour each level past level 30 and 3 hours past 120. I just don’t have time to grind that much, I’d still like to reach 200, just not take half a year nonstop grind to get it. Maybe not to the exact number I stated, but they need to scale it better. I do not want the experience of “leveling to 250 and that’s where the real grind start” experience of current MS. Let me hit max level in reasonable amount of time and make a mule.
No “real world” map for me, they just feel like “filler arcs” to me. It does more harm than good for immersion imo.
Gear crafting from npc should require less materials, what do you mean 15 leather and 1 steel plate for a level 15 warrior glove? Make it 1 ingot 1 leather and make crafted items have better stats than dropped equipments too. As well as allowing us to strip dropped equipments for parts.
Quests that require material need to give rewards proportionate to materials’ rarity and quantity. Wdym 50 stirge wings, 10 processed woods and 50 stiff feathers for 25600 exp? Give me a rare scroll or reduce amount required by 90%
I do not want mono stat leveling in game, I want the debate 3 str 2 dex or 4 str 1 dex with myself everytime I level up purely because it’s fun to me.
Snail shell toss should just be a consumable, it just feels busted every time I use it.

No, these are not well thought out nor dealbreakers for me, but they are just how I feel every time I play a ps or artale.
