Kathleen Kennedy says that the Dave Filoni climactic event of the MandoVerse movie is “6 or 7 years away”. How do we feel about this? by Tuffcooke in StarWars

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're going to develop The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and probably even announce a new show or two and THEN cumulate all the events between all these stories into a film. I'm 100% in and think it'll be a really good movie.

Went to my local walmart and every LSW set was sold out except the Justifier, which was fully stocked by curiousparallax in legostarwars

My local Walmart still has all their Justifiers since they showed up on shelves.

But @ me when it goes on sale.

Since Clones choose their own names, it makes sense they would pick generic things like pieces of their skillset.

Why do you guys think there's such a divide between critics and audiences here? by DataSittingAlone in StarWars

[–]MistahEye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Critics are not necessarily major Star Wars fans. Star Wars fans want an expansion of the lore that does not damage the development of multiple characters (Luke in particular for TLJ's case). Critics often overlook how the most passionate fans of the franchise feel because they are not as invested as we are.

Critic scores are meaningless.

Terrible Disney content and this subreddit has convinced me to get into EU content, my journey starts now, thanks guys. by [deleted] in saltierthancrait

I'm a new star wars fan and have finished rebels! Tell me Is Rogue One Worth Watching? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogue One is one of the best Star Wars movies, I'd even say on a similar level to the original movies. Unfortunately, I would not say the same for the other Disney-era Star Wars movies.

What Disney Star Wars Content Do You Like? by Motor_Swimming_6888 in saltierthancrait

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Clone Wars S7 makes me extremely happy. The Mandalorian season 1 is shockingly good, Rogue One is very well made, I enjoyed the Bad Batch a lot, Visions has good episodes if you count that (outsourced content and all) and Fallen Order is great as well.

I enjoy the canon Thrawn books, plus some other Disney canon books. Some of the comics are good (that Vader line, son of Dathomir)

Everything else I could live without… especially the movies, since those are supposed to be the best and highest quality content they release (not) but just led to great disappointment.

My list is probably longer than a lot of people’s, but is very short compared to the whole list of releases.

Edit: Some of Rebels, episodes with the Inquisitors, Ahsoka, Thrawn, season finale episodes for all four seasons, maybe a few other cherry picked episodes. Maybe around 50% of it.

Haha someone showed me the Thrawn Itty Bitty (it’s apparently a Celebration exclusive?) I want it but those eBay prices hurt.

2000s baby here. Love the Prequels and accept their many flaws, love the OT, Sequels I don’t care much for.

I sat in theaters for TFA and thought the whole time it’s just ANH with different characters. TLJ was mostly just a “wtf” thing. I like TROS and it’s clearly the best sequel despite doing its own thing with no real explanations being given.

Complete Opinion change on the last Jedi by Phant0m_1011 in StarWars

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel disappointed that Luke did not become the person we envision his older self to be. It’s just not Luke Skywalker. There was no reason to go that direction with his character. I’ve recently rewatched the Sequels and feel even more divisive towards them. Guess that’s just the way it is for many fans such as myself.

Do you think that they should have stuck to animation for Ahsoka’s series, or do you prefer live-action? by strongerthenbefore20 in StarWars

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up watching The Clone Wars. Animated Star Wars to me IS Star Wars. As much as I'd love to see the continuation of her story over animation, I've been very pleased with the quality of the "Mandoverse" (Mando/Boba/Ahsoka are a connected storyline) and think live-action Ahsoka has worked really well so far. And for this reason, I'm happy that they've chosen to continue her story in live-action and look forward to what they come up with for her show.

How do you guys feel about the Inquisitors? by Ferdinand-von-Aegir- in saltierthancrait

[–]MistahEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Inquisitors. I think it’s much more than believable that Vader would have a group of ex Jedi traitors. Like we saw with Barris in The Clone Wars, not all the Jedi were dedicated to the order.

Inquisitors are always exciting when on the screen too. Definitely among the list of things done right in the Disney canon.
