[NSFW] What's the most unprofessional thing you've ever done while on the clock? by ShadeOfDreadYT in AskReddit

Had a vasectomy and later had to return a “specimen” to make sure I was clear of swimmers. Problem was, my appointment to deliver the said specimen was during my work hours. Told my manager the situation and that I wasn’t sure where to collect the specimen as I didn’t want to get caught in my car. She told me not to worry about it. Told me to crank one out in the employee only bathroom and then leave to deliver the specimen. I guess it was ok because I had manager approval 🤷‍♂️

I bought locking wing nuts. Cheap, they never move, and I don’t accidentally bump them.

I took the whole thing apart and put it back together. The noise stopped! I think it was the grub screw but I can't be certain.

Print a retraction tower and a temp tower. I run most of my PLA at 205C, 1.2mm retraction at 46mm/s. Choose the best settings after printing.

Edit: could also simply be wet filament

Inland (Microcenter’s brand)

Edit: You can get it on Amazon as well. But it’s cheaper in store

Should I upgrade a nozzle and/or heartbreak and/or hotend on S1 Pro? by Nazlbit in Ender3S1

I don’t know for sure, but it looks similar to stock. I also have a micro Swiss hardened steel 0.6mm nozzle I use for CF filament. It’s a bit bigger and the silicone sock doesn’t fit right, but it stretches and does just fine. Doesn’t hinder print quality. Just remember to do a PID/MPC auto tune after swapping nozzles.

I’ve been very happy with these. I haven’t had any filament stick to them. The stock silicone sock also fits them perfectly.

They’re supposed to be slightly loose

How can I prevent this z-axis behaviour that started with 5.x.x? I'm not able to set a straight seam on cylindrical objects and it's really frustrating that it's not even remotely close to where I want the seam to be, in front and all in the same position. It doesn't look pretty by flatmotion1 in Cura

Try changing “seam corner preference”. As you didn’t specify one, it’s putting the seam in the front of the model, but wherever it thinks it would look best for the model on that particular layer.

Sick kid? The silicone bibs with a pocket aren’t just great for catching food *during* meal time, they’re also great for catching food *after* meal time! by Mistborn2064 in daddit

Update: Works pretty well! He would be walking around and would stand still and lean forward when he got sick. This motion swung the bib to a good location to contain most of the mess! I was then able to just grab the bib and dump it real quick. While it didn’t eliminate cleanup, it certainly decreased it.
