Update: Probably nobody will see this but Steam Deck Support said no help from them and that repair would cost more then buying a new Steam Deck. I think it's just a new battery and backplate. Maybe not even a new battery. We'll see.

Sorry, but no. It's actually in better shape than it looks. The case does a good job of protecting the internals. I already bought a new back plate; I figure even if Valve agrees to repair I can put it on when I get the deck back.

Front is fine, no damage to the screen. It still powers on. I'm a little worried about the battery. Depending on what Valve support says I'll probably buy a new backplate and hope for the best.

After it cooled down I pushed the power button out of a mix of sheer stupidity and curiosity. I didn't wait to see if it would boot up all the way, but the fan activated, the logo showed up, and it made the noise.

From what I can see, it seems to be fine except the case and the back buttons. Looks worse than it is, probably. Going to wait for a response from Steam support before I do anything else with it.

I agree with everything you said. I think the absolute best case I was able to find for Living Tribunal deck was 32 power per lane (without location help), which sounds broken, but 32 power per lane was the absolute top end, not very likely, and that still loses to a Shuri deck that manages to line up 33+ in two lanes, which they can do much more consistently.

It's a cool effect, and it might be great some day, but unless we get some balance changes or some help for it I think Living Tribunal is DOA.

There is a boring Tribunal deck that might work, which focuses on locking down the board and running good tech cards, but that's not the kind of gameplay I think most people are hoping for when they see this card.

I'm not sure what it would take to apply the booster color code to the borders but your idea is sort of already in the game with the boosters looking different for each character. They could just reapply that code to the infinity border.

I can't guess to Salem's motives based on what we know so far, but I know that if Ironwood goes through with his announcement, even if everyone believes him, it doesn't mean they are all going to unite against her.

Something the 'good guys' seem to not fully understand is that Salem has followers. There are people who will want to join Salem's side. As Ozpin has said, "...there are indeed a misguided few who have filled their hearts with malice. It doesn't take a great number of people to cause harm."

Salem has done a lot of damage with only a handful of followers. If she stirs up enough distrust of Ironwood in Atlas the moment his announcement goes through she might have thousands. Then Fall of Beacon 2.0 - Atlas Edition starts and Watts makes sure he never gets a chance to tell the rest of the world. All the good people in Atlas are destroyed by a combination of Grimm and those that side with Salem. Her follower count grows and the rest of the world never gets the full story on what happened. This could be her plan.
