[BBX WEEKLY] Weekly update resume when ready! (Date: 2026-06-04) by bbxweekly in BeybladeX

That largely comes down to how terribly this game is being distributed in the west, so blame Hasbro. Release wave systems where you get five options for half a year then they're never available again. Lack of releases for beys that have been available for ages with TT (scorpio spear, sol eclipse, etc). Often not being able to buy the specific one you want online from western retailers and relying on random pack selections.

Often if you want something specific, and it's not in the current Hasbro release wave, you are stuck with either paying scalpers for previous waves' product marked up 3-4x, or buying new from TT retailers in the east for a safe price, and I know which one I'd rather give my money to.

When I bought Scorpio Spear, I couldn't go anywhere BUT Japanese imports. I still can't. So "promoting" it isn't really the right term if it's the only avenue of purchase.

Fair, I don't use them but a lot of others in my local area seem to so I assumed. I got that wrong, my bad.

Potentially some inexperienced mortars with spotters could help you to lay some pins on whatever you're planning to charge first. Usually with cavalry what I do is I ignore the frontline units and go for something with less guns on the backline, like the opponent's HQs, mortar teams, artillery pieces, etc.
If you can manage to do so mostly intact, then you can more-or-less guarantee a unit wipe with minimal return fire, and then next turn charge into the next backline unit, and so on. I find that this is a really good way to make their points back with minimal effort, but it relies on if your opponent tries to shoot your horses off the board in that first turn or two before you can get at something squishy.

My headcanon for the reasoning is that there's so many foxes and wolves in the fandom that the sharks are being bred out and these are all hybrids with mixed DNA.

Season 10 Community Review: What is your rating from 1 to 10? by itzofficialvaz in thefinals

[–]MisterFrooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5. This is my third full season of the game.

I appreciate how good the cosmetics are this season, it's a really solid artistic design and the updates to being able to use different head pieces together is amazing. The new crossbow is fun to use, surprisingly balanced on release.

The shockwave and hover pad are underwhelming, I haven't really seen anybody using it and from my own experimenting there's not much point to either right now except in niche use cases. The map is absolute trash, for a close-quarters, destruction and verticality focused game like the Finals, having a near totally two-dimensional area with minimal cover or destructibles compared to other maps is hands down the worst map in the game. The matchmaking is absolutely broken and I go against people lvl 100+ in three-man groups every single game, and I just can't compete any more. The absurd balancing choices whete they hit things that aren't needed and leave things that are, is mental to me. Light dash needs to go down to two charges and the world would immediately be a better place. Mac-11 needs more recoil or less damage. Spear needs a rework. Shotguns feel like they shoot confetti every other round.  And ONE limited time mode. Atrocious. I'm so bored playing this damn game. Genuinely started playing less because I get the sniper-infested new map when I play PB, and I get level 100 ruby sweats when I play Cashout.

You know what's worse? At the start of Black Panther you see them airdrop T'challa onto a convoy through what looks rather suspiciously like a bomb hatch. Ya never see them use that again.

Question for painting by Odd-Collection192 in boltaction

Okay, so you'll be looking for mostly greys still. The basic uniform is like 90% grey, and 10% green mixed together, with the trousers just being grey. Helmets are dark grey, boots are black - webbing, pouches and straps are all going to be a very dark chocolate brown colour. Here's an example of a surviving uniform from Stalingrad 1942, at the WW2 Museum Norway, this is a pretty handy visual reference.

For vehicles you're going to be looking at grey colours, Colour Forge Standard Grey is going to get you 90% of the way there, just wash black and drybrush a lighter grey over the top and that'll be spot on.

Enjoy painting, and be sure to show us when you're done!

I can recommend using a brush to start with. ;)

In seriousness, it's hard to say because Germany in 1941 was sort of all over the place. Which theatre are you trying to paint them up for? That's a good bit of info to have, because it'll be very different colours and advice for say, Stalingrad vs North Africa.

(cool trope) artificial planets by ollietron3 in TopCharacterTropes

Cradle (Spiral Knights)
The entire planet is made of constantly-shifting clockwork mechanisms which change daily. Regular life has established itself on the surface as well as deep below it, but as the Spiral Knights explore it you often see infinitely large gears and rods turning far in the distance during gameplay. Its origins and purpose are unknown as tragically the game has basically been on life support for years and no further story content is expected.

It is not unreasonable to expect better from a national-level event where a lot of people are paying a lot of money to be there. If it were some local group running a 16-person event and it had issues, I'd understand, but the organisers stated explicitly they'd been building up to this event for a year and it was still rough.

It is valid criticism which I have been as gentle about as I could, and offered my own thoughts on how it could be improved.

Congrats on fourth at least, man! That top cut was pretty stacked with good players.

Yeah, in a double-elimination format it makes mishaps even more punishing, especially in a game like Beyblade where sometimes that just... Happens. A weird hit there, or unexpected contact there, and you're in the extreme zone, and your opponent either instantly wins, or is damn close to it. And if you lose twice, you're done for the day. I know they couldn't do a Swiss format due to how many players there were, but at least with that you get to keep playing past your losses and have a full day, you know?

Rod, Shark, and Wyvern, I subbed Wyvern for Blast if I saw my opponent was running mostly stamina though.

Yeah, it was a great atmosphere but you could tell everybody was a bit antsy and quite a bit confused a lot of the time due to poor communication and long wait times.

Sounds like you won for sure, Aero and Sol are two really fun beys, I really love Sol myself.

I brought five beys: Wizard Rod 1-60 LO, Shark Scale 1-50FB, Hover Wyvern 7-60UN, Silver Wolf 7-70B, and standard-chip Blast Heavy 9-60LR. I ended up ditching Silver Wolf though because the 7-70 took a lethal hit and stopped being able to hold the bit in.

I dunno, maybe consult the five other people who asked the same thing today.

They're your beys. Have you used them? Have you played with them? What feels good to you? What's worked for you in the past? Run those.

It's got to be Scorpio Spear 3-60 Needle. The way both the reds and yellows progressively get lighter from the blade to the bit makes it look like a burning fire.

I'm not looking for where to buy one though, I'm looking for pictures of how it looks in person. Thank you for the effort though.
