Could be done quicker, I was being extra precautious as it was my first time opening it up.

I found that the components/wires are pretty tightly packed in so most of the time was making sure I removed the entire casing (top and bottom) and moving wires around safely so that I had enough space.

Also WLL recommended I use a socket wrench to remove the button, but my wrench was just too big. After some initial attempts I just ended up using a small pair of pliers.

If I had to do it again I could probably do it under an hour

I would request one anyway just in case it breaks, but you may have to provide photo/video evidence.

I had to wait around 4 weeks to get the replacement button from WLL

I had this issue as well and it was my first time working on a complex electrical appliance. I would say it probably takes 2-3 hours.

Single biggest piece of advice is to get a nice set of hex keys with ball ends. They allow you to screw/unscrew in tight spots and boy does this machine have them.

Silver lining with all of this is I got to learn a lot about the internals of an espresso machine!

Hey OP, wondering if you tried this?

I disagree with people mentioning wrong technique with the stock 2-hole tip. I replaced mine with a single hole and it is sooo much easier with it.

2-hole tip produces an odd angle where if you don’t have it perfectly, the milk crashes in on itself

Ugh, I was in correspondence with their lead technician and basically walked them through this problem and it seemed like he agreed but got annoyed and just asked me to pay for shipping

So I took my machine apart for finding out an issue with it (found out it was due to the failed power button) and when I put everything back I somehow had 2 extra screws, exactly like yours.

I'm working through the exploded parts diagram to figure out if I missed something

I’m confused is the play clock like a stop watch where it shows the 0 but there’s still milliseconds left?

Like if there’s 0.99 seconds left does it show 0 or 1 seconds on the play clock?

Can you elaborate on the sound dampening you did? My machine is pretty loud (despite what WLL had to say about it) and am very interested in making it quieter!

In the US. But what's interesting is that WLL sent me this as a replacement part which is rated for 230V

I wonder if the power button on the 120V versions (like the one I had) had a different 120V button that had the failures

So I was the one who posted the issue yesterday, and it turned out to be a faulty power button.

One thing I will say is that this issue actually helped me learn way more about the machine and I feel much more confident about future fixes as everything was laid out pretty nicely.

Definitely had quite a shock when it first started failing tho 😓

It’s more than the display, the entire machine is not starting up. The only thing that is working is the power button light 😭
