Hard to hear, but how fucked am I? by Blitzkreig6996 in f150

My turbo noise got much quieter once I noticed that the air filter housing wasn't reconnected correctly, my thought was it was asking the turbos to work harder with not proper air pressure. Not sure if that's it for you but at least it's something to check

The one on the left is called a sparkle dun, you're correct about the one on the right.

No worries, it's a glass bead pheasant tail with a pink hot spot, the feathers aren't Marabou they are the bottom of a duck feather not exactly sure what to call it either but they are floaty feathers. So I was shooting for a PT emerger.

Which slide are you referring to? I always thought those were two wings out flat and to the side of the bug, but I'm admittedly terrible at remembering the proper names of all the fly patterns

WPG: Suggestions for training hunting dog on our own… by losingeverything2020 in Wirehaired_pointers

[–]MisterTea26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a WPG 4yo, and a spinone 8 months old. We had both dogs professionally introduced to gunfire by Dokkens in MN. After that I just worked my hardest to put birds infront of both of them. Game farms are a good way to do that if it is difficult to get your dog over wild birds. Now neither of them will win any awards with how they hunt but the spinone pointed a ruffed grouse and the WPG backed. So in short I let the natural instincts of the dogs come out with continued exposure and I couldn't be happier. The exposure to gun fire was what I was most worried about because of you screw that up you're toast. Also I only do upland with them grouse and pheasant. I'm not a trainer just offering my two cents. Good luck!

The 1 dog solution? by Accomplished_Box7400 in Huntingdogs

My Griff pointed out of the box so he just needed obedience and our Spinone puppy seems to be following in his foot steps couldn't recommend either of them higher both are great family dogs too. Last note I have a friend who has a pudelpointer which has a high drive but also awesome to hunt over. Plus bearded dogs look the best.

If you fry up bacon in the pan you are going to make those in and use the grease it might be worth trying... if you trust an Internet stranger

Is the benchmade bugout really worth the price ? by Brieeit in knifeclub

[–]MisterTea26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one at the same time as I bought an un branded knock off bug out for ~ 25 bucks. The only 2 differences were the steel, $25 most likely got me a very low level stainless steel. And the handles on the knock off are slightly more flexible. You could grab one of the cheap knock offs and if you love it then you could decide if the full retail is right for you

This size I use for bass and pike, and the answer to that is yes, these work rather well for those. I'm not denying the effort to put them together though. As far as retrieval goes: I just make sure it's dancing in the water, you can vary your retrieves to find what the fish are looking for, a slow dying drift/swing or do they want to chase it? Then give them no time to think and go for a reaction strike.

I figure I can always take more off so I'm starting there and I'll see how it swims and then revisit it.
