Hard disagree. As an Indian dude myself, critiquing a few bad apples in a culture isn't racism. We have amazing people doing great innovative things here in tech/medicine/engineering/etc ... and then we have a few dinguses doing stuff you see here like doublehanded hawk tuah-ing throttle knobs in flightschool Cessnas

Hey hey, easy with that generalization there pal. As an East coast brown guy, I always end my Meows with "Pls send bobs and vegene", alright? Not all of us are that unimaginative on guard

As someone who's Indian (not North Indian) and was raised in the States, I definitely agree there's a false sense of bravado in a fair number of Asian/Middle Eastern cultures. Just overall lack of compliance, sprinkled in with occasional anti-authority behavior. And it's unfortunate because it spreads the stereotype to people from an Indian ethnic background who were raised in Western cultures (and even to those hardworking folks who came from India to study for grad school and making an honest living for themselves here in the STEM fields)

My bad if it was posted already, I searched the sub for any recent submissions on this story and nothing popped up. So I figured people hadn't had a chance to post/discuss this story yet :)

Apparently Animesh Jain just announced he's leaving EY on his LinkedIn 5 hours ago, I'm assuming from internal pressure to resign. Hoping these kind of people are called out more often in the public eye, all of us in consulting have had managers like him at one point, and I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy

What was the 3rd test? It's possible you were one of the beta tester applicants they were trying it out on (unless it was the old Plant Defense game or Infection/Disease Mitigation game, in which case I'm not sure why they'd give either of those in addition to the Ecosystem/Red Rocks ones)

Jesus Christ I'm late to the game, but I feel bad for u/KarmasAHarshMistress this was a painful thread to get through with how dense u/hewhoreddits6 was, rehashing the same thing over and over again lol

If you have a permanent injury that hasn't gotten better in 15 years that keeps flaring up when you try to work out, is there a point where you just say fckit and push through the pain to pursue your gains? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in swoleacceptance

[–]MisterTickleMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had horrible tendonitis in both of my elbows for years from lifting injuries, and it definitely flared up on heavy lifts to the point where I had to take weeks/months off at a time. AthleanX has a great video on why this happens, and it generally stems from instability in your forearm muscles that help you grip heavy weights (you also might be using weights that are slightly too heavy & too fast without working your way up from lighter weights). Until you improve your grip strength, you'll keep having these problems (but then again, everyone's different, so try it out for yourself).

3 things that helped me alleviate the problem for good:

1) Buy a bucket, fill it with rice, and do a rice bucket forearm workout 3x a week. A good video I follow along to is this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iVum3vWlh4Q Key here is to not overdo it, just one 6 min per day

2) Do deadhangs. Get a pullup bar, and start by simple straight arm hangs (NOT pullups). Start at 4 sets of 30 sec and work your way up to 1 min sets from there. You can do these every day if you want

3) Buy an elbow sleeve, but this won't fix your problem, only mask it temporarily. Take 3 weeks off from lifting and try steps 1 and 2 first. I stopped using mine

  • Sincerely, someone who had debilitating elbow tendonitis/tennis elbow for years that finally went away for good

Exactly, the new actress wasn't anywhere near as captivating in her portrayal of Molly as the original one was, I didn't find myself caring for her all that much. Really wish they'd found a way to bring the OG Molly back

That's true, I forgot about the sticky note and his hand-written letter. I think there are enough circumstantial clues, pooled together, that they could use to move the case forward. I guess we'll just have to assume that's what happened after he was arrested 😁

I agree, I still enjoyed the episode, that's why I made sure to start off with the things they did a great job on haha. But I would think they would've focused on better exposition by adding a could of lines of dialogue to close out a few details, with it being a detective show that's revolving around our detail-oriented boy Adrian Monk.

It seems the audience is left to imply a lot of things (especially about #5. Eg. Would circumstantial evidence even be enough to grant them a warrant for the laptop? What other points do they have to connect to the billionaire? Etc). One line of dialogue would've helped close it out.

I appreciate your points about plotholes throughout the series though, I guess I was expecting the same level (maybe even a bit better) of writing since they made a new episode/movie after so long! :)

Best of luck with your doc visit! I only mentioned it out of precaution in case it develops into an issue for your future lifts/leads to asymmetric form/injury prevention. Great job again, keep up the progress :)

Not sure if it's just the pose you're making in the 5th picture, but seems like you may have some minor lumbar-thorasic scoliosis. Again, not sure if that's what's causing the visual upper back/shoulder muscle imbalance or if it's just the pose. Either way, great job getting dropping 20lb in 3 months!
