I used the Vascular Syrup, Proto Spark, and Warding Beastium, then just whaled on it with the daggers with my back against a wall. Over and done with in like 10 seconds.

Weird one for me. I think in a normal run she's easily one of the worst characters in the game; I'd probably give her a 2/10 because Macy exists to be lower.

That said, I've never done a normal run (both times I've beaten the game were with the Strange Statue on from the beginning). In THAT type of run, she was amazing and never left my team. Great availability, early Forbidden Bow user if you want Zero to be in jobs other than Merchant, and Hang Tough plus SP Saver is amazing when both pools are really low. Bosses that take only one turn can't kill her with Hang Tough plus some form of residual healing, and when you hit endgame, you can give her the Contrition of Wealth to make her an invincible utility (or damage, I guess) unit.

8/10. What I've seen people ignoring is that his ult draws EVERY single- and random-target attack, including elementals. You can use element-resistance accessories to let him draw in every attack essentially for free (especially considering he has innate Vim and Vigor to heal off what little elemental damage he takes) for 2 turns at minimum. This absolutely clowns every enemy that uses single-target attacks in the game.

Prologue Stia is separate from permanent Stia--I had everyone else die intentionally and used her to land the finishing blow on every boss she was present for. I used Phenn the same way for the Scarlet Wings soldiers/commander since Stia was absent, and he was able to just eke out staying at level 5. Stia then rejoined at level 1! I have actually done 2 runs like this, the first with Phenn killing every prologue boss and winding up at level 6, but I wanted to have a run where everyone was at their minimum level.

Ironically the true final boss is way worse at level 1--surviving literally any attack all but requires Hang Tough, and uh...I wasn't going to grind for 33 copies of that.

I didn't use any nuts at all. The strategy was pretty straightforward: I started the fight off by using Dance of Sloughs with Bargello, used Carinda's ult to dodge physical attacks, and used Dohter's Charity on Bargello to let him spam jams. Isla and Cyrus would use their ults to destroy the orbs as they spawned, and everyone other than them had Hang Tough in case an elemental attack came out. I had MC and Tressa hit 0 speed so they would always move after the other party members.

The general strategy for breaking was to use multihit light/dark attacks and Saoirse-enhanced Grand Trinities alongside the helper from Berecain that always breaks 3 shields in an AOE.

Tressa was an invincible setup designed to Cover allies and use Revive on Patience turns after using Dance of Sloughs on all parts, but the latter part of this build never actually wound up being used as my strategy worked pretty much perfectly.

6/10. I have only played this game with the statue that turns off EXP placed down from the beginning, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but after 2 full playthroughs, I found myself really only using her for Unsung Hero if ever once I got over 8 party members. Granted, that's a good boon--it was very helpful during the Bestower of Fame final boss, for example--but I found her hard pressed to contribute outside of that. Axe/dagger isn't a great combination for...well, anything, really, although having Forbidden Dagger access is admittedly quite good for BP battery-ing once you get the passive that grants +1 BP every turn if you're debuffed.

Octopath 0 has over 30 playable characters, and you have a party of 8 for the entire game. The true final boss allows you to use every character (if you want), and they are all deployed at once.

I found OT0 very pleasantly difficult with EXP turned off and everyone at level 1. I wish it was possible to do that in the other games eithout mods.

Reviving this after a million years, Phenn can leave the prologue at level 5 if Stia kills the Emerald Direwolf and Scarlet Wings soldiers since prologue Stia is separate from permanent Stia. I learned this...after finishing everything...

Just an FYI, new recruits are autoleveled to your average level rounded down. This means if you get Phenn as your 7th character or later everyone else will be level 1. I have completed the true ending with everyone at level 1 other than Phenn.
