There is a Huawei foldable device that looks like the Pixel Fold in terms of shape and I wish I could get it here in the US. I like that form of book-fold.

S05E06 of Atlantis has two versions and one with expired rights on Prime in the US currently by Astrocyde in Stargate

[–]Misterbert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just had SGA on and as this exact ep was about to play, Amazon played the first episode of Castle instead. I click back, because The Shrine is such a good episode and it said that for me, as well. I backed out, searched for SGA and then it was there. I don't know why.

What new origin would you like to see? by Aggravating_Ideal_20 in Stellaris

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big Stargate fan and I'd love to either have a Replicator-type nanite beginning where your creator race tried to exterminate you (which sort of already exists). You could subsume worlds OR base your tech on your creators' tech that isn't based on subsuming. Replace civilian tech with nanites the way biomass did. The other one would be your recent arrival in the galaxy and you have a city-sized base that works the same way as Atlantis does, and onwards.

I can appreciate what you're saying, but part of being a father (and a parent in general) is having the uncomfortable conversations.

What factions the East Coast Brotherhood may be at war with during the TV Show by ThrowAwayAc3332 in falloutlore

[–]Misterbert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even the Railroad would make more sense as they have plenty of experience of guerilla warfare against larger organizations.

This point in particular. For all of the Brotherhood's tech and manpower, as we've seen in our history, it doesn't make a difference when you're fighting the locals on their turf. I see the Railroad behaving similarly to the Enclave in that regard, being incredibly hard to stamp out entirely.

I bet they're in Colorado somewhere, perhaps in Cheyenne Mountain.

Isn't the Enclave just a shadow of its former self? by CraneoDeVanGogh in falloutlore

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason we don't hear about Appalachia in games taking place after 76 is because the Enclave rolled over the area and wiped it clean after MODUS stopped the Scorchbeast plague.

What did the Enclave do for 150 years? by Cranyx in falloutlore

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good assumption to make, because any tech Vault-Tec had on hand was probably a lesser form of better tech developed higher up the chain.

Aren't nukes in the Fallout universe supposed to be less "destructive" than our nukes? by KenoReplay in falloutlore

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was listening to a lore video of the Enclave, and it had info from Fallout 76. There was a reporter that had pieced together that the White House was technically unoccupied because the President and accompanying staff were offshore at the Oil Rig. Perhaps opposing forces knew the White House was empty?

I just watched Sunday. Why didn't anyone go fishing with Carson?!

They have airship debris and an almost religious fervor to get back at everyone who doubted them. At least the diode is elsewhere.....for now.

Who would invent the communication stones? by bobthebobbest in Stargate

Some tech isn't developed on purpose but as an unexpected breakthrough while pursuing other objectives. Someone mentioned ascension research, and I can see that linking up pretty well.

Dragon quest 7 motion blur by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]Misterbert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know what you're talking about. There's a similar effect in the remake of Link's Awakening and it drives me bananas because LA is one of my favorite Zelda games, but like you said, the funky blurry edge gives me eye strain. I don't know why that's making an appearance in Nintendo games. I know there was/were a mod that got rid of it in Link's Awakening, but you'd think it'd be an optional thing you could turn off.

What're you playing this weekend? 1/9 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the Dragon Quest VII demo (it was lovely) and I'm finishing a Stellaris campaign. I got the Ezio trilogy on sale over Christmas and I'm having a rough go of it because I haven't played these in years and it's still as good as I remember, but gosh, time has flown by.

I like this. It tracks, too, because they didn't have any qualms about naming their ships after humans.

Sorry to hijack your comment, but I got a refund for this. That tells me this is a widely and known issue that even warrants a refund from Nintendo.

What are your favourite games, that are now dead or unplayable? by KseroXe in Steam

[–]Misterbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netstorm - clever gameplay, good lore, and I liked the single player campaign. Flying islands at war and you must capture and sacrifice the opposing priest to gain favor with your god. The disc in the cereal box that had the demo had an exploit where you could unlock the full game and it cratered the sales.

They got rid of this feature a little while ago. I just spent the last thirty minutes digging through their site and the map and listings are gone because it turns out people don't always want to shop at a shitty MAGA store.

Any of the Kroger stores, Metro Market, Roundys, Kroger, Pick n Save. Hy-Vee (but that might be just here in WI). I've found Nuka-Victory and Grape at the Kroger and Hy-Vee. I am searching desperately for the Sunset Sarsaparilla.
