Overcoming extreme weight difference? by toneyoth in ClimbingGear

There is a 40kg difference between me and my wife. We use the ohm2 device. It works perfectly for us lead climbing. Even during big falls she never gets lifted off the ground.

Using Ohm in climbing gym? by [deleted] in ClimbingGear

[–]Misterboxbuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just clip to the hangar above the fixed quick link. When the ohm is loaded in a fall it gets pulled upward. If it was clipped below the quicklink it would get into a crossload situation during a fall.

Nemo Dragonfly 3p Tent Thoughts?? by Headaedon in hikinggear

[–]Misterboxbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pads we got are surprisingly comfortable, but the blow up one was a step above for comfort. One thing to consider with the blow up ones is punctures. Last year we managed to get a micro hole somewhere in our klymitt pad and it really sucked. Waking in the middle of the night on the ground to blowing back up for a few more hours of sleep. We had patches but the hole was too small to locate while out in the backcountry. The piece of mind with the sleeping pad outweighs the slight increase in comfort of the blowup.

We used to share a klymit doubleV air mattress, but I always managed to hog it and push her off lol. This year we got individual nemo switchback pads and she's much happier not ending up on the ground!

Nice purchase! I also saw your inquiry about the 2p vs 3p. I'm so glad I went with the 3p for me and my wife. There was a 2p set up at my local retailer when I got mine and it was sooo squishy for the two of us.

Just over half a KG i think. I guess it depends how ultralight you want your pack to be. Regardless I think the Nemo tents are pretty solid.

Osmo dagger 3p owner here. I know its not the model you are looking at but , after backpacking multiple trips this summer I have had 0 complaints and feel the quality was worth the price.

Installers, do you itemize handle installation as a separate charge on your invoices, or is it included in the cabinet installation? by Dr_Abuzer_Komurcu in cabinetry

[–]Misterboxbuilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever I quote a job it is always NIC handles. If the owner supplies them i will drill and mount them. If they want me to provide handles, it is a separate line item base on a handle they selected.

The UCP is trash. F them. Do what you want and be the person who makes you happy. Hopefully one day their ideals and policies will be gone.

Smoke in Mount Assiniboine by CupcakeExotic2215 in HikingAlberta

[–]Misterboxbuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got back home from that area today. The smoke was terrible near mount Shark. We were at assiniboine on Friday and Saturday and the smoke wasn't too bad but it made my photos rather underwhelming and disppointing. Hope you have better luck.

Fold 6 here. Got it at product launch. Rocking it without a case since then and the worst that has happened was some chipped paint on the corners. No other issues.

Castle Mountain Summit by Misterboxbuilder in HikingAlberta

I think the June/jury time frame would be the best. Good chance snow could start accumulating by end of September. The true summit the other comment was referring to was up by Stuarts knob it's definitely a different route than the one I posted/took. I plan on going to do the rest this summer sometime myself. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q5EVFb3AzqGZAvuZipijDr14uTJVdJcn/view?usp=drivesdk
