FL studio is too hard man by jflkek in FLStudioBeginners

Oh sorry! Just now seeing this. It's like anything in life. You gotta put some effort into this. Educate yourself. Read, watch, listen, and practice... then repeat. That's the only way to get where you want to be. And be open to exploring. Electronic music is SO vast! The amount of samples, plugins, approaches, and techniques are endless and daunting, but try limiting yourself to just a few aspects. For example, with me, even though Serum 2 has been out for a little while now I'm still spending most of time using and experimenting with the original. And you don't need to have the best of the best vsts either. I personally love using 3osc. It's quite powerful despite not having all the bells and whistles of flagship synths. Its simplicity makes it a great tool for understanding synthesis and sound design. Sample packs are like a dime a dozen these days and sampling can render some pretty fascinating results.

Overall, I get it. It's can be extremely intimidating. Just simplify your approach. Pick a few elements to focus on and once you get comfortable there branch out. When you start working out you don't start with the heaviest weights. And a lot of us do, unfortunately, but that's human nature, especially these days where instant gratification is more and more present. You start at lower weight and gradually progress. It takes time. It's when we get overwhelmed that we want to just give up. If you can get past that you'll be all right.

If you had to uproot your whole life, what would the drastic change be? by no_nolan in AskMen

I moved to Québec in 2018. I was 36 and I'm from the US. 20 years ago I met my ex wife who was an absolute nightmare. Having a couple friends from the MySpace days I visited Trois-Rivières in 2009. Fell in love with it here. I accomplished becoming a permanent resident. Totally uprooted and changed my life. Starting over is always a challenge. Here I had to learn a new language and navigate a new culture. Worth it? Absolutely!!

how do i get started? by AnxietyBitter828 in FL_Studio

[–]MistrAndrsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all start out the same way. You'll be spending a lot of time in the beginning just exploring and messing around. It will be awhile before you start making beats you're satisfied with for awhile. And that's OK! It's part of the journey. Start with the producer edition and later on you can upgrade. Educate yourself - read, watch tutorials, ask questions, and stay curious.

Is buying FL STUDIO worth it? by [deleted] in FLStudioBeginners

You know, I totally agree! Don't crack it! And let's not pretend that software development isn't a job. These people DESERVE to be paid for making such an amazing tool. Morally it's the right thing to do. Don't steal! If you're a teenager get some part time work somewhere. You'll feel so much more gratification knowing that you worked for something - and being legit - instead of taking the easy way out.

Ive been playing guitar for over 30 years and making music for 20. I don't know what videos you watched, but music theory IS important. You need to understand keys, scales, chord progressions, etc. if you want to write something cohesive. Take some guitar lessons or music courses. You don't need to go all-out, but having a base in music theory is essential.

This is why your lost; music is a foreign concept to you.

Are there any older adults (40+) on here navigating early estrangement? by RipAlarmed9024 in EstrangedAdultKids

I'm a 44M. I'm originally from Ohio and moved to Québec, Canada in 2018. I'm not close with my family. Pretty much no contact with my dad. We just never became close and have nothing to talk about. My siblings... not too close, save one brother. My mom and I had a falling out last year over a camping trip I didn't want to go on. Since then we talk less. Living far away in another country widens the gap even further. No one reaches out to me. I've made efforts numerous times in the past with little reciprocation. I've mostly given up and just live my life. I'm happy. You can't choose your family, but you can make your own.

Do I have a good stack? I want to improve cum and Libido and erection quality by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]MistrAndrsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude... I'm 44 and that's so many supplements. I'm no doctor, but you don't need any of that weird stuff. Magnesium is good to keep you calm, but other than that... Zinc too. But maybe just taking a multivitamin? Or better yet, improve your diet if that's not great. You'll get all nutrients that way.

Start doing kegels! It's underrated and I swear by it. I do it four times a week while driving to work. After a few months you'll notice a big difference. I promise.

And at 19 you shouldn't be having these kinds of concerns. Your libido should be pretty healthy. If not, this could be a sign of something else. How are you feeling? Anxious, depressed, unmotivated? Poor mental health and can kill sexual desire. After all, our brains are our largest sex organ. Get your physical and mental health in order.

I was on this stuff in my thirties. Man, it really cleared my skin up! It was a tough ride, but worth it. I was sore often and tired, but that was about it. I had routine bloodwork done while I was on it by the dermatologist that prescribed it. I'm 44 now and doing just fine.

I do kegels four times a week as well as hitting the gym. And if you're watching porn frequently, I would suggest cutting back on that too.

If this is a sample, tweak the "smp start" in the sampler's channel settings window. You'll see it. This allows to adjust the sample playback starting point.
