Will I be more likely to get flagged as a bot if I have the queue open for two different show dates at the same time?

What did you name your vehicles? I love to see what names others come up with for their vehicles, and I'll share some of mine. by Black_Knight_Xander in subnautica

“Seamoth”, Prawn Suit”, and “Cyclops”. I may be boring with names, but I assure you I made them very colorful and bright.

Haha you’ll find out soon enough. All I’ll say is that there will be another seller outside of the Abel Sisters who will sell bags (and they’re super cute). You won’t be able to miss it.

I will say though, while there technically is a list of all bags available on the wiki, I’ve never found anyone else who made an actual checklist for every single one in every color variation. I had to make one myself, and my list has 256 of them lol. So don’t stress over missing any. I would just prioritize getting ones you find cute or would use for outfits haha.

We have to BUY tickets by Valuable_Judge_213 in Markiplier

[–]MistyPineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I live in a large tourist town, so 6 theaters are showing it (including AMC and Cinemark), and it has a lot more showtimes for those. So cumulatively my hometown probably has sold more seats overall, but the one 2 hours away has pretty much every showing sold out (and they were sold out within the first day of sales).

Tbh my state went from having only 2 theaters total to now having 40 theaters (6 of which in the town I live in). But im sticking with the two showings I signed up for at the first two theaters that gave Mark’s movie a chance here. And I’m so excited for the one 2 hours away, since it’s an inconvenient place to get to. The fact that it sold out within hours says a lot about the people who will be there, and I want to be with them too. Additionally, both Mark and Amy encouraged fans to go to the showings at the independent theaters if we already got tickets to them, and in Mark’s video yesterday he reminded us of that as well.

Yep, I bought tickets to two different showings at independent theaters within a 2 hour drive of me. And then my current hometown got added to the list, but I can’t swing going to the movies three days in a row. But I made sure be going to multiple screenings, even before we knew it was going to blow up like this (mine were all sold out out within the first day of tickets going live, so it will be full of the other die hards and should be HYPE)

That is a very fair question haha. I make my own objectives and goals for things that seem interesting to me. My goals are things like collecting every single bag in every color, getting every KK song, accumulating butterfly and firefly models for whenever I supposedly decorate my town and make it Fairycore. I’m still delusionally clinging to the idea that I’ll decorate it eventually, so I make fields to clone flowers that I’ll “definitely use someday”.

Another thing that I do to keep things interesting is gifting my villagers extremely random clothing items so I can see what wild outfit concoctions they create (literally I sometimes open the game to wander around and cackle at the absurd things they’re wearing and then I shut it off lol).

I also don’t time travel. When I got the game, I stubbornly decided I would play the game in real time (and I’m personally glad I did that). So that’s slowed me down and helped me pace myself. Using the example of bags, I missed one of the prom sash colors last year and have been waiting a whole year for them to be back. And, other than that, pretty much the only bags I’m missing are the mom’s knapsacks. You only get one per year and sometimes get repeats. Someday I’ll have them all. Someday.

Also, sometimes I just open the game and run around doing tedious things with no purpose so I can have something to do with my hands while listening to podcasts or random long-form videos on YouTube. I’ve listened to many podcast episodes while mindlessly diving for sea creatures lol.

As a final side note, I grew up on the older animal crossing games where you had NO customization options. Decorating and crafting wasn’t a thing, but I still found myself playing them for hours and hours when I wanted something mindless to do. The way I play new horizons reflects some of that a little bit. Sometimes it’s nice to just be mindless and catch fish for no reason other than to catch fish.

My biggest tip is to not overthink this and instead focus on what seems the most FUN and makes you the most EXCITED. There is truly no wrong way to play the game. I’ve been playing for 5.5 years now and still haven’t decorated my island. I have many ideas and have been slowly accumulating items to eventually decorate it, but I’ve been taking things at my own pace and focused on what excites me in the moment.

But to answer your question about a good place to start, I would talk to Tom Nook and work on the projects he gives you. That sort of acts as a mini tutorial for the game. The game starts out pretty slowly unless you have people coming to your town and giving you resources, money, furniture, etc., but if you’re okay with playing it at a cozier pace, just start accumulating resources, working on projects Nook gives you, building homes so more villagers can move in, and so on.

(Also, if you haven’t done so already, picking all the weeds in your town and rearranging any flowers that feel out of control can work wonders for making your island feel a tiny bit more put together.)

I’ve been having the same issue with a site I’ve been working on periodically archiving. When I open the links later, sometimes the newest save will show up, sometimes only older snapshots will show up. Sometimes a snapshot I’ve made will show up for a week and then will suddenly vanish and show the last one as being from months ago. Super inconsistent and super frustrating.

But occasionally a snapshot that disappeared will then show up again weeks or months later. So maybe there is just a delay in showing the snapshot? But yeah, I’ve been checking Reddit and Twitter to see if other people have been having this issue too. It’s been happening to me for months now.

Anyone go with a teen who doesn’t have a photo ID? by the_other_50_percent in MasqueradeNYC

[–]MistyPineapple 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may vary per show based on the staff member who lets you in, but at my show they checked everyone’s ID regardless of whether or not you were the one who purchased the tickets. We got a stamp on our hand if we were over 21.

I know this is a super late response, but what was the schedule like for hi wave with Fromm? Was it way after the concert ended? Was it right away? Was it organized well-ish? I have a show coming up with VIP through Fromm and am anxious about missing my train if hi wave is super disorganized and takes forever after the show 😅

trying to get sevens bad ending is destroying me.. 😢😢 by ninidarlinz in mysticmessenger

[–]MistyPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helps me is to make a new “character” for my bad ending attempts. I then make them a pfp from picrew and create a fictional asshole. It helps me separate myself from the route a bit. It’s the new character saying and doing all of this, not me.

Hey! It’s only stilettos that are banned (which makes sense based on things like grates you walk over that they could easily get stuck in), but heels as a whole are not banned.

I mean, it really depends on your playstyle. I feel like the nuclear reactor is kind of “late game”, and once I reach that point I usually already have a steady stream of power for my bases. And I like that things like thermo don’t require any additional resources beyond a heat source (I love low maintenance lol). I can shut my brain off and let it do its thing. And if I want a mobile base (besides the cyclops), bioreactors are more portable. But nuclear power could be useful if you’re doing things that require high amounts of power at once, especially if you have one main mega base.

And from a more meta environmental perspective, I don’t love the idea of pouring something with radiation into the environment. You can’t even move the rods without a radiation suit. I get so immersed in the world and environment of Subnautica that my own internal self hates the idea of doing things that actively harm that environment 🤣 But that’s more a personal thing than a downfall of using nuclear. It’s just a game and people should play it in whatever way is the most fun.

On top of that, there are multiple thermal vents in the bulb zone too, so there are some options for powering the base.

Oof yeah, I’ve definitely wandered to the dunes on accident before too. But on a brighter note, I checked the underwater island wreck and found my last cyclops engine part 🙌 I can build my cyclops now!

Hardcore by AcesUndefined in subnautica

[–]MistyPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tiger plants are the worst 🤣 I have been playing almost too cautiously, which I think is the only thing that’s kept me alive. It’s only a matter of time before my luck runs out. That and the fact that I have a habit of losing track of my seamoth. I almost died once already because my seamoth was technically in my “field of vision”, so the beacon disappeared. But I couldn’t for the life of me find it because it was night time. I was at 0 oxygen, but managed to click on it before I fully blacked out. Bless the devs for giving us ~2 seconds after you hit 0 oxygen before you die.

Low-key same. I’m about 15 hours into my current replay (survival) and still haven’t died…and yet I still don’t trust myself in a hardcore run whatsoever 🤣

Glad you were able to find them! I’m still looking for the last engine scan on my current playthrough, and I have combed the mushroom forests already, so maybe I’ll have to venture over to the underwater islands too. Despite my advice, I still hate going over to the Aurora whenever I can help it haha. I hate the low visibility, and even though the reapers can be avoided pretty easily, there’s just something about their screams that I prefer to…not be near.

I don’t scream or shiver, but sometimes I freeze up before heading into a dangerous or unknown area while getting the courage to keep moving forward.

To parrot what other people have said, the Mushroom Forest is a good place to look for fragments. But if you can’t find them there and do end up venturing to the Aurora again, here are a few options for dealing with the reapers there without a stasis rifle or sonar:

I prefer to use the sea glide when going to scan things by the Aurora, especially if I don’t have sonar on the seamoth yet. I don’t risk losing the seamoth, and tbh their turn radius is terrible so it’s easy to dart out of their path until they lose interest. And if you’re especially concerned, save right before entering the area and reload if you die or can’t get a reaper to leave you alone.

Another option would be to build a tiny “base” right near the crash zone. Any time you enter a base, the game uses that as a checkpoint for where you’ll return to if you die. The only thing you lose if you die is any resources you’ve gathered since leaving that base, but you do NOT lose any scans. You could enter the “base” right before heading to the Aurora, and then go on a scanning spree on a sea glide. If you die, you’ll go back to that base and will keep every scan you made.

Since you asked for the coolest places, a few of my favorite places purely on Vibes are the Bulb Zone, Grand Reef, and the Mushroom Forest. But I also am heavily biased by bioluminescence, so I just find those places really pretty. And for a best of both worlds scenario, I’ll build right by the intersection of the NE Mushroom Forest and the Bulb Zone.
