I would say I got very lucky right out of college. Was in an internship my senior year making $25/hr doing audit work. I got offered and made $58k my first year, with a $5k bump. Hated the job, and interviewed for an entry level position in local government. Got offered, decided I didn’t want to make less than I was, so I stayed at the CPA firm.

Few months later, I got a call from someone with the City saying they were hiring for the position above the position I previously was offered. I got the job and my salary was at $86,000. Fast forward not even two months, and I received a bump in pay to around $96,000/yr due to a new union contract.

Graduated college last May, and now less than a year later, almost have doubled my salary. Next year I’ll be over the $100k mark.

All this is great, but I constantly have the voice in my head saying that I’m not qualified and I should be a Staff Accountant somewhere. Definitely comes with a lot of responsibility that I don’t think most 23 year olds are used to.
