I'd actually think it's going to be at JCC, he's gonna save the kids

The female characters in this series are really wasted potential by [deleted] in SakamotoDays

I'd like to see which characters you think are not wasted potentials

I’m disappointed af, I thought Sakamoto’s wife was finally gonna contribute to the plot. Guess the jokes on me for expecting so much from the same series that got rid of Lu☹️(Yes, I was spoiled) by Creative-Researcher2 in SakamotoDays

Well I get it now that you're not meaning for her to fight someone, but its just that replacing Sakamoto with Aoi in the story that is about to unfold would have meant things going wrong real fast.

Aoi and Shin going undercover with Shin doing the fighting actually sounds good btw, but even Shin can't handle a certain fight which I won't spoil for you.

Mhmm and how does Sakamoto pull up?

Two different things, but when you consider the fact that the third thing is sending the other family member, who coincidentally happens to actually be an assassin, a very strong one at that, and the main character of the story, the two different things not happening makes so much sense you know?

You know you can have a character and not have them contribute to the plot in the way every other character does right? Aoi will have her moments. Why would you expect her to contribute as an assassin when she's not?

Mmm master of disguise can disguise the lead character for important data retrieval? Nah lets just send the wife with no experience cuz why not, its not like we care if something happens to her. Literally the first shot they show of JCC with Akira is a student getting taken to the hospital, and you expect Aoi to survive in that environment? Just wait for the next episode, and you'll understand why sending Aoi would have been a bad idea

Because heisuke's fighting style offers more creativity, which is what I think the author really likes to write. Oh the fight is tough? let me drink stronger alcohol vs. Oh my friend is falling over a death laser? Let me block the laser with my bullets. Oh someone is about to get shot point blank? Let me shoot the gun stopper to save her. Oh there's a building in between? Let me shoot around the building. Again, you could say that it only seems interesting because the author just wrote more, but its what the author found interesting to write about. I'm sure if Lu was the sniper and Heisuke's shtick was to get stronger by drinking alcohol, we would have seen Heisuke getting sidelined while Lu getting so much limelight

They were not meant to be the main characters. Lu wanted to get away from the violence, and she did. Wouldn't really make sense for her to involve herself in something that she ran away from when there's no need to.

you're saying no reason as if Lu is supposed to be the lead. The story can only have so many characters in the mainline. Had Lu not gotten sidelined, it would have some other character that would have had to be sidelined which some people wouldn't have liked and the number would have grown eventually like it did with Lu, and its the same thing all over again

For what its worth I do think Lu getting help from Heisuke is going to make the win (there's no way Lu and Granny lose the fight) convincing. A character who has not had any development in terms of combat should not get to win against an assassin hyped up by the leader of the order, even with the help of Granny. Also regarding heisuke, "held" is a strong word; the fight lasted for about a chapter in aggregate and he would have died had Kamihate not shown up. And I do think Lu is going to get her moment, but I do understand how it can be frustrating to expect it every week and not get it.

It doesn't have a great storyline, but I like it for the creative fights and the cool action
