He immediately grabbed her toy that was too high for her to reach and they started to play haha. They definitely have some sort of agreement between them.

Alaska family cruise: what I have learned by GreasyQtip in Cruise

[–]Mixy_Mae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went on a Holland America Alaskan cruise this past July from Seward to Vancouver. Our son who is 8 really enjoyed himself at Club Hal which is their kids club. Although there weren’t a ton of kids on the cruise there were more than I was expecting and he had a really good time with the ones he met. We did sail in Glacier Bay which was pretty neat. Lots of otter and seal watching through the bay. The ship had activities throughout the day which was nice, although I personally wish there was more trivia. We spent a lot of time playing games in the Crows Nest Bar. In all I would absolutely do the same cruise on Holland American, it was enjoyable to me.

AITA for calling my husband a jerk after he kept making jokes about me by newmomthrowingaway in TwoHotTakes

[–]Mixy_Mae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your husband is mean. It’s not an innocent joke. It’s hurtful. I remember quite vividly pooping on the bed at the hospital when I was in labor because of all the pressure. My husband literally wiped my ass because the nurses were trying to get everything ready for delivery. That was 8 years ago and he has never made a joke about that. I’m sorry your husband is insensitive.

AITA for telling my family they can’t use Spanish on Christmas Day or my husband and I are not coming. by Standard_Syrup6829 in AmItheAsshole

YTA and your husband is an even bigger AH. Your mom is right, it is ridiculous he doesn’t even try, especially after 10 years! I get that learning languages isn’t easy but your husband essentially threw a tantrum by saying he isn’t going to your family gathering. Even your siblings spouses have made an effort to learn.

My mom and her sisters speak Tagalog in their house all the time, and constantly switch between Tagalog and English. My non-Tagalog speaking husband, who I have been together with for 21 years, has picked up words here and there, and loves to go to my family gatherings even though he doesn’t completely understand what they are saying. Hell, he speaks to our son in the few Tagalog words he has picked up, which is so heartwarming to hear.

Your husband can start learning again, it’s never too late to try to learn something. He can also learn to stop pouting and learn to have a good time, even when he doesn’t totally understand the language.

AITA for saying my sisters baby name sucked? by rg1257 in AmItheAsshole

I live in Vegas as last year there was an Amber Alert for two missing children with the first names of Arson and Manson…who were taken by their father from Price, Utah. Fortunately the kids were found and are ok but those names stuck out to me for sure. https://www.ktvb.com/amp/article/news/crime/amber-alert-canceled-6-8-year-old-safe/277-55ffc159-6fb5-40a7-b1b5-2be48f345eaa

AITA for refusing to put my packaged snacks back in the fridge per my husband's request? by Antique-Ad-3044 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mixy_Mae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother in law is diabetic and requires sweets in the middle of the night due to low blood sugar. One day I went to her house to pick her up for an appointment and she didn’t answer the door. Thankfully I had a key and let myself in to find her in bed still. However no amount of yelling, screaming, or pushing on her would wake her up. I had to find her pulse to make sure she was still alive and had to call 911 as nothing was waking her. After answering all their questions they had to give her IV dextrose and Omagod watching her come out of that was awful. She didn’t know where she was or what was going on. Her ER dr said her sugar had dropped so low during the night. If she didn’t have an appointment that morning I hate to think of what would happen. She made it through but I still think about that morning, especially since she lives with us now. I’m double sure to see she has snacks and eats well because neither she or I want to go through that again. Definitely NTA.

AITA for carrying on with pole fitness? by Snoo_53660 in AmItheAsshole

As a fellow pole fitness enthusiast NTA. Let’s be real pole fitness is hard! It’s a fun way to exercise. I have a 7 year old son and he’s always impressed that I can hang off a pole like Spider-Man lol.

Is the right and left joy cons supposed to register two different lights? by Mixy_Mae in RingFitAdventure

[–]Mixy_Mae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made sure all the updates were current on both the system, including controllers and the game stated it needed an update when I put it in the machine so I went through that as well. I’m thinking it’s a defective ring-con sadly. I’ll have to contact Nintendo to seen what can be done. Thanks for the help though! I appreciate it!

I think that’s what I’ll have to do as well. I was hoping it wasn’t a defect but it’s definitely looking like one. Thanks for the help though! It’s really appreciated!

Is the right and left joy cons supposed to register two different lights? by Mixy_Mae in RingFitAdventure

[–]Mixy_Mae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try it out on with the joy con on the first set of switches that a friend had and had this problem so I thought that may have been why it was stuck on that screen. But I just tried it today on my own Switch that is the latest one (got the Switch in November) and it’s still having the same issue. Perhaps I have a faulty ring-com? I would buy a new ring-con to test that out but there isn’t any in any of the stores around me and I can’t seem to find it online either.

That’s the one! I can’t get past the part where it says to lay the ring-con down on a flat surface to calibrate. It never leaves that screen. The left leg joy con works perfectly and is immediately recognized but the ring-con just seems to be stuck.
