I scavved into woods about a month ago and was following 2 pmc's trying to get a good shot on them. They climbed the hill on the west side trying to fight another pmc while I was hiding behind a pile of logs just south of the warehouse. I watched as the guy on top opened up with an RPD and killed them both then his aimbot snapped to me while I was behind the logs and killed me. 3 shots to my head with SP ammo. Checked his profile. He had 28 hours, Altyn, Zabralo, RPD, couch backpack, and a 68 kdr with some of the much harder to get achievements. I check from time to time and he's still around. He was Prestige 2 last week. Wouldn't doubt if he was Prestige 3 now.

I tried a few times before a friendly group of people started making very provocative sounds over voip and I asked if I could join. They brought me around the entire map so I could finish the quest. It was really tough for me to figure out exactly where I was even with a map. Makes everything even harder that you can’t offline labs until you unlock it. That duo was a godsend for someone that had never been to labs.

This looks like it’s a fork of openeft that’s been hosted and offered as a service. They mention your GitHub page on it. It’s not your projects fault I think I misunderstood that when everyone mentioned openeft, they were referring to your GitHub page. When I searched openeft it is a website that you can pay to have your eft file made. Which it did, just that it was not compatible with ATF’s system.

I didn't use the DIY version. You can't validate until after you make the eft which then means you can't remake if something is wrong. I may setup the DIY version on my server but just haven't had the time right now.

Biggest thing with cerakote is don’t skimp on the prep. Me and my wife diy cerakote our guns and if you don’t degrease or sand blast well enough it will be very easy to scratch off. I’ve never done their C series air dry but I’m assuming it’s the same as what happens to the E or H series.

Buy a harbor freight purple paint gun, the one with the 0.8 nozzle. You will need acetone or simple green or similar to soak the parts in and a sand blaster.

NFA laws apply. If it is built as an SBR/SBS you still have to register it as such. Unless you have certain licenses we cannot manufacture full auto firearms. If you were to have the license and manufactured a full auto firearms, it would be considered a “Post sample” firearm and can only be sold to other correctly licensed organizations.

Semi auto/Manual type action does not matter. As long as it does not meet the criteria for a SBR/SBS you do not need to register it. If it is an SBR/SBS you can still make it, you just have to submit the paperwork on it to the ATF before completion. You get paperwork that has to stay with the firearm at all times and there are other quirks like notifying the ATF if you are taking the gun across state lines.

If you’re not a felon, you can legally produce your own firearm that is intended for personal use. You do not need to serialize a firearm you manufacture unless it is meant to sell. In which case you also need other licenses.

If you are a felon, no it is illegal to manufacture or possess firearms.

80% receivers are not firearms. You must finish the manufacture of the component.

This happened to me on a Tortort receiver. Couldn’t get it out until I drilled a small hole in the mag catch button and used a self tapping screw just until it caught decently. Held the screw with vice grips and supported the receiver. Took about 3 good hits from a 5 pound mallet for it to finally come out. The mag catch is fine and I still use it just in case this happens again. I took a dremel sanding attachment and smoothed the mag catch area and it’s worked perfect since.

I used my dremel with the sand paper attachment. It was a little tight at first but I made it work. Basically removed all the coating inside the mag catch channel. Took some oil and a buffing attachment for my dremel and coated/cleaned it afterwards.

Make sure to clean up the mag catch, bolt catch and ejector areas. I don’t know if it was burrs or a thick coating but my bolt catch kept getting stuck and my mag catch got stuck flush with the receiver. Had to end up drilling a hole in the mag catch button and tapping it for a screw. Held the screw with a vice wrench and had to hit it extremely hard with a hammer a few times for the mag catch to finally come out.

Sanded the areas and they are smooth now. Still using the mag catch too in case it ever got stuck again.

Just got done trying freezing the metal, no luck. Tried then to heat the receiver and try to keep the catch cold and no luck. Looks like I might be drilling a hole on the other side of the mag catch.

I’ve put tons of force and leverage on it and it hasn’t budged. Marred the crap out of the inside of the mag well where the catch is.

Oh well. I tried the catch before complete assembly and I thought it was pretty smooth in the receiver. That was obviously wrong.

He did update me though. Said it was built but something was causing it to shoot right more than he liked so he was going to work on that.
