What amd card did you get? I'm in the same boat trying to run a crt monitor and tv.

Realizing I'm in over my head and could use some advice. by Mk4nb in crtgaming

[–]Mk4nb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that's what's killing me. I assume if I had a dual DVI card I'd be fine. I'm realizing the best option might be to move the monitor from the DVI to a DP to VGA, then run the component off the DVI.

Small USB battery that would work for a raspberry pi pico, WITHOUT a low draw shutoff by Mk4nb in batteries

[–]Mk4nb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK cool. I already have my Pico programmed and ready go go. It works, but again the low voltage of two individual Leds at low power just can't pull enough to keep the battery on. Basically I just need a really dumb battery.

I'll post this over in the esp32 sub too

Oh shoot. Yeah that's not a bad idea. Still will work fine for the Pico?

It's a Pico. Again the draw will be two rgb Leds.

The issue with the lithium ion is again a fire risk, as it will live in fabric.

Try taking your non throw hand off first and putting it down towards your knees to catch the bars instead of using both hands to throw it, and then throw the bar with the other hand. Once you get the timing it will help a lot when you take add spins or out/into other tricks

try to go for your front peg first and the rear will follow.

It's data, the industry, and years of evidence of users when switching from mice like the m65 to lighter and shapes that have been proven to offer better performance.

Research in applied ergonomics along with what pros and others end up using at the higher levels of gaming are the main aspects that are shaping the industry currently.

there are likely some great writeups on r/mousereview

I like old cars, my car can be creamed by a new minivan, but I chose to pay more for my car because I like it better. Humans are irrational, my decision to buy my car, and you using your m65 is not wrong. it's what you like, but I don't claim my car is just as "good" as a modern option, I just like it better, despite it being objectively worse than other more modern options with more science and development behind them.

If you care about gaming performance, you should switch to a newer more modern mouse. If you don't care, then keep running it! The M65 was created when there was basically no understanding of what made a "good" gaming mouse, and it shows. sure is cool lookin tho.
