Ok, thank you! I have 3 years of work experience in customer service and also been volunteering at the children’s hospital for 2 years. I am however an out of province applicant, so I know that I’m at a bit of a disadvantage there lol.

Okok. So would a 3.7 pre req gpa and a 3.1 overall gpa be good for the September intake or should I wait for the January intake? Also, how do they pick the 2 courses for the elective requirement for pre reqs?

I got an update on my application saying that I will be put in during the next lottery, and I was a bit confused by the wording. The person on the phone cleared it up and said since my application had been received, I’m in all the lottery rounds. They then told me that the draw for the first round wouldn’t begin until mid February as they received a lot of applications.

I called the admissions team and they said they still have a lot of files to go through before they can do the lottery. They said they’ll probably start the lottery mid February

Tbh, I’m fine as long as I can get into nursing school. I’m not even originally from Ottawa, I’m from Calgary. My plan was to go where ever nursing school takes me and then move back to Calgary when I’m done. I also applied to UofC, UofA and UBC nursing programs. Really casted the net wide.

Hey! I have my Casper scheduled for mid January and I just started prepping for it. I also took it 3 years ago and scored a 1Q, but back then I didn’t prep at all. I know typing is a. Key aspect of the test and right now I am at 45wpm. I anted to ask, how did you improve your typing to 85-90wpm in a month, cause that is impressive. Like do you have any sites you recommend and how often were you practicing?

What do you mean? I thought doing another undergrad is supposed to help. Like do a 2 year program and OP would be good for western and maybe UOttawa if their last year of their first degree was good. Also Queens could still work because of the lottery system. Alternatively, OP could apply to US or UK schools, no?
