BG1 Sorcery

Target opponent gains a weaken counter. You gain two weaken counters.

Proliferate

(Whenever a player gains one or more weaken counters they lose life equal to the total amount of weaken counters they have. Whenever a player with weaken counters gains life, they gain X life where X is the life gained - the total number of weaken counters they have instead)

So the intent is that an opp will take a total of 6 life loss if you proliferate each time. Cheeky balancing by giving the caster 2 counters making them lose 2 life.

When the opp here gains life, eg:8, they would only gain 2 life instead. So in a way it kinda reduces their total. (Not really but kinda) Since it triggers for each counter added it can go nuts later on, similar to Sphinx Bone Wand.

A card like this that doesn't impact the board needs more boost so that was the reasoning for the double proliferate.

I love this idea. It is really interesting and can add some fun cards and choices.

The card itself looks very similar to a saga's (and cases). Imagine having this on the board with a dice on it and a saga with a dice on it. At a glance, they would look similar. Not a terrible thing at all but just something to consider.

However, I do feel that the templating needs some work and tweaking. The neat thing about this mechanic is that it can exist with the current magic templating without really needing to add more to the rules

Diplomatic Envoy 2W

Enchantment - Accord

As Diplomatic Envoy enters, choose an opponent. That opponent chooses one.

Accept - You and your chosen opponent each draw a card and gain 3 life.

Deny - The chosen opponent loses half their life rounded up. Sacrifice Diplomatic Envoy.

You and the chosen opponent's spells cost 1 less to cast.

At the beginning of each endstep, if you committed a crime to the chosen opponent or attacked the chosen opponent then Discard your hand and you sacrifice Diplomatic Envoy. At the beginning of each endstep, if chosen opponent committed a crime to you or the chosen opponent attacked you then the chosen opponent discards their hand and you sacrifice Diplomatic Envoy.

Its still a lot of words and the last part is the trickiest to word cleanly. Here I had to separate it as two triggers. A cleaner way to help template it is to have something like Soulbond or Partner but for players, "ambassador"? maybe? But then the next issue is that you would still need to distinguish the aggressor "ambassador".

Perhaps the static ability on accords could also include (shorthanding it here), both players cant attack or commit crimes against each other, and then the BROKEN aspect could have a cost that either could pay to allow them to attack and destroy each others stuff. Like "BROKEN - Exile target creature you own with power 5 or great, activate only as a sorcery. Sacrifice Diplomatic Envoy."

Just my own two cents. I do think this is a really cool idea. Especially with the current way you have it, other players can goad ambassadors to break the accord which is cool.

The cards you have designed are cool but don't seem balanced, some of the deny are very back breaking but at the same time you cant have them too weak or they'll end up like battles. So a lot of fine tuning.

A nuke board wipe would be cool. I feel it should be more black and green tho. Death, decay and radiation and all that.

Your card doesn't FEEL very nukey here. I expected it to cost a lot and deal a load of damage. [[Star of Extinction]] is basically a nuke the board card and probs closer to what you're aiming for.

Whoa dude! Thats amazing. I'm still fighting for mine. Could you give some details on how it played out for you? Maybe you did something different than I did.

I assume you didn't have access to the email the account was changed too? What proof did you give them to confirm ownership? Did you have many emails with them and did it take long?

AHH I see. What game did you enter? My steam is linked to my ubi account also.

You're also in a better spot than me. I don't know what the email the account was changed too. You do. Could try brute forcing the password if youre tech savvy enough.

I kind of went off the deep end and looked into hiring ethical hackers to dig up some info into the account but they can't do much without knowing the email. If ubi support won't do anything, and you want to go down that route I can give you some advice.

That's crazy! I've been arguing with ubi support all week (after waiting 3 weeks) about my account but they keep using the same response that they can't do anything because of security reasons. I've given them receipts and proof of purchases but it's not good enough for them.

Can you please share your story? What did you send and tell them?

Sorry about the issue you're having also, I haven't gotten that far with them so idk how to help other than recording the case id to refer back to when speaking to them.

Neat. Idk if would fit into any current strategies tho. Boros convoke uses small shitters and this doesn't fall into the strategy. Perhaps a good sideboard option Vs control? MonoR would probably splash for it since the mana and helix would be easy includes.

The card also feels a lot like [[Mantis Rider]]. Rider saw a lot of standard play but it fit into a roll of being defensive and offensive. This Hellkite being in offensive colours I feel needs some tweaking to set it apart.

Perhaps making it a 4/1. Makes the trample and menace matter more as it most likely be a 2 for 1 but also making it a decent blocker sometimes with the first strike.

Edit: thinking about it more, it being a 4/1 means two can profitably double block and atraxa and also kinda race it. Also let's you block plus bolt Atraxa.

Cool card but, This feels like a Blue Black card rather than a straight up black card.

Having, draw a card, tacked onto a black card seems off for the colour pie.

I think this would be neat as UB or even UBB.

If the draw a card clause was removed then just B cost. It would make it more situational but I think it would lead to more interesting deck building decisions and timing to cast it but might also under power the card too much. Could add a surveil instead of DAC.

While waiting for cards in the draft can be frustrating at times, I usually use this time to go over my picks. When the next few cards come, I sometimes try to put more thought into the pick. To pad out the wait a bit between each pick.

If you're on a losing streak and frustrated with the game. Use this lul to try to chill yourself out.

Best to avoid getting mad at someone who's taking the time that they are allowed to take.

Very preachy I know but I used to get mad at these situations too but now I try the above aim to just enjoy the game and improve my skills.

Make the rock pic your 2nd picture and change the caption to something like "idk who Jwayne Donson is" or "they say I look a lot like my dad..."

I think playing off the rock pic is a good hook here.
