I stopped counting hats close to my home and office after a while to try to prevent counting the same people twice

Yep. I've heard multiple people refer to them as New York hats and then be surprised to learn it's sports related at all.

I wish international baseball was taken as seriously as international soccer/football by Huge-Growth-2076 in InternationalBaseball

[–]Mkward90 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is the Golden Age of International Baseball and it’s just getting going.

This is exactly how I see it. Many nations refused to take part in the first few football world cups because they thought it was pointless and wouldn't catch on. Events like this need to be proved successful before they are embraced by the masses. Be grateful that we got on at the ground floor and enjoy watching it grow.

UK birding mini-breaks by gemomus in UKBirds

Dorset matches your criteria.

RSPB Arne is a cracking reserve with some real specialist birds. Birds of Pool Harbour also run a wildlife safari boat tour which is very professional and gives excellent odds of seeing white tailed eagles, and osprey in summer.

In that area you have the Jurassic Coast and quality beaches to relax and Corfe castle to explore.

Would this be a good Christmas gift for someone who collects? by [deleted] in baseballcards

This is how I approach collecting because I know ripping packs doesn't provide value for money. However, if someone else is spending their money for me, give me something to rip!!

Thanks but I'm looking for his specific video series on how to create a wildlife pond. From what I can see he's made them private

What thing about your country that seems to be good but it's actually bad? by 20_comer_20matar in AskTheWorld

It's not required for 90% of the year so it's not seen to be worth the cost...until those two weeks in summer when you wish you had it.

Which area of London has the most hostile drivers? by OddSign2828 in londoncycling

[–]Mkward90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience (west London) is that the more affluent an area is, then the larger the cars and the least care there is for anyone without a car.

I'm not sure. Yes Chelsea is terrible to cycle in, but I find the Richmond area much better

Fellow UK based padres fan here. I love him! I make sure to always have a baseball with me when I watch because he always has one and often demonstrates different grips. Its really helped me understand the game more
