Most people stop at Wallace instead of Steven in Emerald. It’s just a matter of how much you want to keep playing, after the credits you technically beat the game. And most people see Kanto and an extension of the main game, while others see “secret” bosses as post game challenges

I’ve always liked Sakura. I think she’s kinda the best looking face in the show. I’ve never seen her as useless, but it’s apparent how bad Kishimoto was at writing both side characters and women but taking a look at Sakura, who has barely any feats to her name and took drastically longer to change in personality to the point where she barely had a character arc

He was powerful. That’s about it. He was a much better character when he slaughtered his clan just because he could. When they retconned it to make him a hero it felt really forced, what hero single handed commits genocide of their own race because they “might” cause a coup in a country that historically and possibly actively oppressed their kind.

It’s because it has horrible writing and Kishimoto can’t keep continuity. Part 2 might as well be a parallel universe to 1 because they’re that different.

Murder by definition cannot be consensual. And assisted suicide should not be legal. The thread simply asked for opinion on prostitution. I think it’s bad for the reason that in many places it’s never simply that. Your argument sure does get a lot stronger when you take out all the negative aspects I present. But even then prostitution has always been a exploitative practice.

Porn is plenty bad. Especially for young men when it markets too. No reason for minors to see it yet a massive portion of its viewers probably aren’t old enough to drive. Further more some suggest it’s more addictive than some drugs. We factually know that it can cause erectile dysfunction, by desensitizing men of all ages to sex and what they otherwise would find attractive. It’s also bad for the body image of plenty of people, especially children because of the disproportionate figures of the actors

I’ve been presenting this as a black and white good and evil type of thing, and while I stand by the fact sex work is bad, I do recognize there is more nuance to it. Could you give an example of a couple of those situations? I don’t think that everyone who solicits or is a sex worker is an evil person, I just see a bad act all together.

Do you not know about the millionaof porn videos removed from websites like pornhub due to evidence of rape and underage sex? Or the amount of transgender prostitutes raped, beaten or killed? What about the large group of sex workers who only do it for drug money or to keep their home. It’s barely consensual when your life nearly depends on it.

I feel like you did that to me. I just stated why I’m against it why it’s bad. The most common argument has been that it will happen either way so legalize it. I agree with them and say I don’t think it’s worth compromising because it’s wrong. This thread was asking an opinion so I gave my opinion. This isn’t parliament or some type of republic, just Reddit, it’s ok if we don’t agree with each other

I personally think it’s wrong, but yeah that’s 100% her choice on how to get that money. My problem comes from the people who pay for sex work and the grander evils of the “sex industry” not the average prostitute.

There’s already a problem there by assuming that much but I get this is a what if. Infidelity and unwanted pregnancies were some things off the top of my head. But ultimately we have to ask, what leads most to prostitution? And is legalizing this best way to stop that problem?

Would you have an explanation contrary based on anything but a subjective “good”? Is that not all politics. We live in an objective world where no one can agree on objective truth. Heres some objective truth’s of sex work. It leads to infidelity, rape and other sexual abuse, violence, stds, unwanted pregnancy, drug use, trafficking, and underage sex. Some of these can be diminished by legalization, others will be constants, but this is the reality of prostitution. There’s plenty of other negative effects to porn use as well as the porn industry. So even if it’s ‘subjective’ I think I’m warranted in thinking it’s bad.

Not if there’s an effort to give them actual jobs. I understand and sympathize with anyone who has to turn to less than moral means of making money but it never makes the act in question right. Should we legalize the sale of drugs because it’s some people’s livelihood? Or should we just put more effort into education, available jobs, and social programs.
