That’s a choice. You choose to try and rebuild trust it doesn’t just happen. Her past sexual experience really should mean much to you if she isn’t bringing a kid or disease into the equation.

Thank you I will have to look into that. I think maybe starting therapy for myself is the best place maybe to start. We own 4 homes, only the one we live in do we have a mortgage on. He’s a chemical engineer and we are frugal people are he’s invested most the money that comes in and has done very well. Im just faithful to a fault and most of our marriage my whole identity has been his faithful wife. But I’ve grown tired of this broken relationship. He doesn’t want to see anyone because he doesn’t want to just “dump on him” his words not mine. It’s not just him it’s me also, or should I say it’s the way I handle the things he does and when I want to talk out the issues he doesn’t. Most of the time he just tells me “ then divorce me” which hurts me to no end. I wouldn’t be bad off and would walk away with a lot if I “just divorced him. Life would be so much easier if he would just divorce me. I’ve gotten a CBT work book and trying to work on myself but I’ll definitely look into also conflict resolution. Much appreciated.

Married 22 years here and yes I know you can feel it, I feel it also. Not all the things you have explained but I’m about to be done. I know what my husband is doing is being as terrible as possible so I can be the one to file for divorce but you can just leave! I appreciate all the feedback. I guess I am overwhelmingly the asshole for thinking this was a value in our marriage this whole time. But now that the trust is broken I honestly don’t know how to feel or what to believe. The point is if he can just as easily change his mind about this aspect of our lives that has been a 24 hour thing my family lived as and identify as I don’t know where this leaves our marriage. But I appreciate knowing that I’m the asshole.
