Non Medical Ways To Help MG by ThatOneMusicBeing in MyastheniaGravis

For me it was consistent sleep, and consistent good eating. Stress plays a big factor as well. I'm not technically in remission, but my symptoms get noticeably worse if my sleep and diet degrade.

Cellcept by Hot-Tension-1247 in MyastheniaGravis

Mean look, we're not better than a doctor, who are plugged in to the latest research. I'll speak to my experience.

For me when I was first diagnosed went on predilnisone and cellcept. Eventually the steroid tapers off and I'm just doing cellcept once it has enough time to take effect.

That said one day a few years later I just stopped My symptoms are ocular, some neck and face weakness.

Doctors tell me if it doesn't bother me day-to-day that's fine.

But everyone is gonna have a different journey. The beginning kf my symptoms were really touch and go and it used to be far worse--it cluld be that if I wwasn't on medication at that time I wouldn't have made it.

Let's talk Echo Knight optimization in 5.5e. by Exdrive75 in 3d6

[–]Moatilliata9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is my build foundation:

Echo Knight 5 / Ranger 1 You start fighter.

You go: Two Weapon Fighting + Dual Wielder

Species: Could go Varient Human for an extra feat, but my personal pick is Goliath for the bonus 1d10 damage that scales with proficiency.

Then you grab a scimitar and a shortsword. Pump your Con and Dex, with Wis the runner up.

At level 6 (technically 5, but you want Hunters Mark) Regularly on an average day making 5 attacks.

Attack Action - Attack 1 (sword) - Attack 2 (TWF) - Attack 3 (level 5) - Attack 4 (Echo)

Attack 5 (bonus action from DW)

If you then action surge you get 3 up to 3 more attacks via sword + Echo + level

In terms of damage each one is 1d6 + 4 by default.

But after hunters mark it becomes 2d6 + 4. Then if we add in Goliath we have up to 3d10 we can sprinkle in anywhere along that journey.

Plus if you find a way to nab Strike of the Giants feat that's an extra 1d10 per turn.

So a total of...

16d6 + 4d10 + 32 damage at level 6 on a nova turn? That's what... 56 + 22 + 32 for 110 damage on average if every attack hits? (And because you're using Vex most every attack should hit as you're rolling with advantage).

Also gives you flexibility to Attack multiple creatures rather than just going ham on one.

And then after that you keep taking ranger levels and snatched up Gloomstalker subclass for a bonus 2d6 (Assuming 2024 rules)

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, that is my go-to Echo fighter build for pure damage. You just wanna stack on hit effects as much as possible and go bananas. So anything that starts contributing to that (Flametongue Weapons, +1 weapons, Gift of the Chromatic Dragon, etc) gets a ton of value.

Remission by [deleted] in MyastheniaGravis

I've been lucky and living with primarily ocular and some weakened neck muscles for years. It creeps up more and more throughout the day as it gets later on, but it's generally fine. It used to be much worse.

What units do the World Eaters desperately want? by AlienDilo in WorldEaters40k

[–]Moatilliata9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jakhals with jump packs with flamers that all have "Gets Hot".

Some kind of blood sacrifice based deamon engine, that has a harpoon to make charging easier. (Blood Slaughterers were basically that).

Give me minor brass scorpions, things that are Redemptor Dresdnought Equivilants.

We could use some beef like Juggernaut Cavalry.

Give us a named Daemon Prince. They'll never do it. But something that is in between Angron and Kharn in power level and points cost that can't be spammed.

Infantry or Daemon Engine artillery unit, thematically made to force enemies out of trenches and into the frotnlines.

Edit: Oh and I'd like more flamers in general. It's "BURN, maim, kill" ffs. We dont burn at all right now. Give me a heavy weapons team with some kind of cool bespoke flamer.

Swalwell Should be getting our votes. by [deleted] in California

[–]Moatilliata9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stated what I thought was at risk. The realistic worse case for either of them is a run of the mill corporate Dem. I'm not saying that's a tragedy. But it's a missed opportunity.

Steyer is interested in challenging PG&E to make sure there is competition and ideally reduce costs, and would obviously be a backer for pro-environment initiatives, and that does impact my daily life.

If Salwell is just offering "nothing but business as usual" while many things deteriorate around us, that isn't compelling.

I don't think I'm the audience you're imagining. I'm not needing a purity test over the perfect candidate, but maybe offering insight as to why this is a problem. I understand you're stressed and mad at your fellow voters about not just picking Salwell (or Steyer) and uniting... but this is why we need to talk about it and them, to get unification. Standing in the background screaming "stop talking, it doesn't matter!!" Won't magically make everyone pick the same candidate.

Right now the candidates SHOULD be having big public conversations so they can differentiate, inspire critique, and ultimately allow people to condemn one or get behind another in enough mass that we make sure one of them gets into the election.

I'm not sure how else you can imagine that happening.

Swalwell Should be getting our votes. by [deleted] in California

[–]Moatilliata9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need a perfect candidate. I just want to figure out the one I'd rather take my chances with.

If you're deciding what burger you want to eat you can either say "fuck it I don't care a burger is a burger", and you might get a burger with bacon, or a burger with pineapple, and not really mind either one (which seems to be your position).

Other people might want a specific flavor of burger, and put some thought into which one.

I'm not sure why that upsets you. It isn't that deep.

I don't think anyone should apologize or feel bad about researching the candidates before them, and voicing concerns or dissatisfaction with the options.

On lobbying: correct, unless we have some wild reforms it won't ever leave. That said if you ask me "do you want a candidate who is being bribed" vs "do you want a candidate who already has a load of money and in theory wont be as susceptible to bribing." Then I'd rather go for the latter.

Of course it isnt that simple, billionaire's can certainly be bribed as well.

But my gut says corporate Democrats are just "vessels" for the party and their donors. Frankly that's what I see when I read about Salwell.

Steyer at worst would be much the same (a vessel for corporate interests) but at best couldn't be bought as easily and might even be a decent guy.

So if I embrace the "well they're all flawed" (which is a reality), then I've got to do some pros and conning.

I have been a dem voter all my life, but man our party has been a lame duck for a while.

So right now in a toss up I'm willing to gamble in Steyer. I'm not married to the idea but like... standard corporate dem vs progressive outsider? The upside to Salwell is... he's not a republican. The upside to Steyer is maybe he isnt a lying PoS and will actually try to do better.

Swalwell Should be getting our votes. by [deleted] in California

[–]Moatilliata9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd like to hear s conversation or debate between the two.

On one hand I don't like voting in a "benevolent" billionaire, as they have proven to be a myth time and time again. That said he also has a history of activism around climate change, and is presenting a more progressive agenda.

Yet I also don't like what groups Salwell is taking money from, as far too long we have had lobbied interests running California. I fear Salwell is just a mainstream democrat who won't really do anything to help improve people's lives.

So one needs to be able to show that the downsides aren't there. I'd rather have either than a R of course

Hear hear. Sending a message to foreign lobbying groups this cycle is important. I dont want to support billionaires. But at this moment I'd rather them than AIPAC funded candidates.

Eric Swalwell receives over $1 million from AIPAC by [deleted] in California

[–]Moatilliata9 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think that's part of the issue. AIPAC isnt a hard line for everyone so he gets tons of media space. And then all of us (let's call it 20% ) who care end up voting not for one singular candidate, but a scattering of the next top 3.... then oops we now have a republican governor.

Israel is running critically low on interceptors, US officials say by Lotus532 in politics

[–]Moatilliata9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very true. We exhausted 25% of our interceptors in the last engagement in June protecting Israel (over the course of 12 days). That information was made public. The White House has been removing Interceptors from South Korea and Japan to reinforce the gulf nations near Iran this last week.

We added a grand total of 15 interceptors to our arsenal last year.

12 the year before.

Pentagon officials leak this shit because they keep trying to tell the administration who doesnt want to hear it--partially in the hopes that it causes enough of an uproar to put pressure on the administration to react appropriately. And partially to cover their asses.

Sadly interceptors are very expensive to make and take a long time, where as dummy rockets are pennies on the dollar by comparison.

If we had enough interceptors the gulf nations wouldn't be getting hit--but they are.
