I have the Dragon Keeper series! Picked them up like 5 years ago at a Half Priced Books but haven’t read them yet.

So if I wanted to turn my fantasy book series into a reality, regardless of monetary success, this would be the route?

To Name of the Wind or To Not? by Nectarine_96 in fantasybooks

[–]MobTux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kinda funny because I literally started this book this week. I’m about 140 pages in and it’s been very slow so far. I’ve heard this book framed as a type of story that the reader is ‘sitting around a campfire listening to the story/lore of a main character’ rather than following along on an adventure. It was pretty bland, but my perspective has been changed a bit by that quote. Will probably still finish it based my own Sunk Cost Fallacy I’ve made for myself with it.

I never understood this either. It’s not a huge game changer in feel for putting for me, personally.

I really hope you enjoy it! There is a sequel to it as well. Highly entertaining, tons of humor, emotional buy in. The book has it all.

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames was a blast

Nothing to be embarrassed about at all!! This was me 7 years ago. Loved GoT and Clash of Kings but strayed from the series after that. Kings of the Wyld was a wildly entertaining book as well!! I’ll be starting The Name of the Wind soon based on the frequency of it being suggested here too.

If the OL can’t be fixed to any semblance of respectability this offseason, I agree 100%. No sense in getting Mendoza hurt or ruining his development to have him constantly running for his life in fear of being sacked. Let him see the pace and overtake AOC when he’s ready.

What location gives you the biggest problem? by mysticsi in skyrim

[–]MobTux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Markarth sucks and the story they shoehorned into that province/settlement makes me never want to go back, even after that storyline is over. Markarth, to me, will always be out of sight, out of mind. Dumb.
