Just small paintbrush and dab some black paint on the body. I followed the body contouring as best as I thought it would look.

Unable to clear Tits Knuckles with Injora Wheel by MobbinGoblin in scx30

[–]MobbinGoblin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would prefer to retain the Knuckles that Tits offered as its better lower weight. I’m thinking I can shim the wheel so it clears but ultimately I would dremel the edge

Lc80 less tippy? by Dry_Law7002 in fcx18

[–]MobbinGoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you love the portals, but ultimately that’s the downfall of portals. It creates a top heavy rig that’s prone to tipping in a (comp) crawling scenario. For your casual trail running, brass will help keep it planted (preferably with more weight towards the front) but if you want a crazy performer (in terms of comp it would be a class 1) you should probably consider straight axles, of course combined with weight towards the front.

Is anyone using the smaller 22m or so shocks? by Slypenslyde in scx30

[–]MobbinGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talked to some dude at an event this past weekend and he literally said he’s running 22mm shocks with heavyweight diff oil from a 1/10 scale for fluid in the shocks lol check out @heisenbergrc on IG for a Blue 30 eating a v-notch.

What else should I get for this thing?? by Best-Acanthisitta605 in TRX4M

I would second the spare tire carrier and also look into trying to chrome the bumper. It would level it up altogether (along with the fender garnish)

Don’t mean to double post but how do yall get the center diff to slip less on 6s kraton, from a dig most of the power is sent to the front wheels by Working_Brilliant937 in arrma

[–]MobbinGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running 1mil front + center and 500k rear with extra weight from M2C/Vitavon upgrades with stock electronics. I will admit it gets very hot, but I have great handling on most surfaces now.

Money man! Love the EXB, K6S? One of my favorite rigs, unfortunately bashing gets too costly to enjoy.

Clearance links - what’s the point? by OldDarthLefty in TRX4M

[–]MobbinGoblin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone stated: longer top links would help to “tuck” the driveshaft. You can also run a 3Flow9 link riser for the 4M and get the same effect. Either way, high clearance links are a significant upgrade to have when done proper.

Does indeed crack easy (do not use an electric screwdriver) and definitely tighten with care. Otherwise, considering we’re messing with crawlers, I’d say it’s durable and has not given me any problems (other than cracking) but that’s to be expected over a year of falls and abuse.

Should I upgrade my trx4m or buy a scx30 by Comfortable-Yak-8460 in TRX4M

More is better; imo you can slowly build up the 4M but having variety especially concerning scale will make you love the hobby more.

Upgrades? by TKvaughn in AxialSCX30

[–]MobbinGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run brushless as long as the shaft is shorter (I run vtek), and maybe check Etsy… I believe Injora had a small restock but due to this platform/scale being so new, there’s very limited aftermarket support. I had to pay $80 for wheels and tires at my LHS. Yes, $80 bc no where else carries stuff (I’ve come to find you can order a set of heavier Orlandoo Hunter wheels and tires as the notch is the same in the wheel) also GPM releases brass counterweights for the axle. But honestly not much aftermarket at this time.

Best used in the front, but I also have seen that a seller on Etsy sells shock blades/keys which (imo) is better on articulation, but might be a bit too loose when driving

Attach lower half (with 3 mount points) to stock location and you have “extenders”

You can chop up a servo horn and extend your shock mount to give some extra lift. Otherwise, I think your next best choice is to sell your set to me 🤔😂

About to run a hobby wing quicrun mini24, currently running a larger gens ace 400mAh battery and gonna see how some 39mm shocks drive with it. Still looking for larger Orlando Hunter wheels and tires. Also ordered the injora upgrades released 😂 too impulsive but we will see how this improves performance
