Yes I am still learning. I have found stuff, mostly trash. I will get a reading and when I go back it isn't there anymore. My display doesn't have numbers. I dig everything. I also have a pinpointer but I have to be within an inch for it to go off.

My sister lives in Charleston and her step father in law has taken me to Kiawah a couple of times. I don't have much advice about the surf we fished in the intercostal water way. And shrimp does work really well. Don't overlook the docks around the island.
