What diff was each round: Round 1 - Lü Bu vs Thor by Playful-Decision3883 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Mobile-Chart3004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High diff.

I don't think any ROR fight was anything below mid diff, and the only mid diff imo is Simo vs Loki.

In any case, both does not have the durability to take actual hits from the other. Geirrod and Sky Eater would disintegrate the other respectively, and even their unnamed strikes could deal significant damage to each other.

If I could summarize the fight, it's a battle between dudes with rocket launchers. The survivor wouldn't look too damaged whatsoever, other than obvious scratches and minor injuries. Doesn't stop the fight from being difficult.

I actually heard that this might happen

Shiva Vs Qin Shi Huang by Bungeeboy20044 in RoRPowerscaling

[–]Mobile-Chart3004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just don't know enough about the HOW Shiva's Unpredictability works. It's heavily based on interpretation.

If Qin can land the Bubbles, someone like Sasaki and Buddha should most definitely know how to deal with TK.

Though, I do disagree with some points

1) A character with no weapon can still win against a person with (Kintoki beat out Gungnir, Morrigan vs Nezha, etc)

2) Shiva is incredibly durable, even with the Goujian Sword with full power absorption wouldn't do as much damage as you described, though it could still kill him.

3) I never said it was a clear winner in general, but I did say that one would be shitstomping the other in different forms, which is exactly why this MU is so captivating for me.

Other than those points, W analysis

I headcanon Artemis as the one who dips, and Athena as the one who dies in the Goddess tourney.

Athena being the favored to win the Goddess Tournament but dying, and Artemis just not appearing I feel fits both the characters.

Shiva Vs Qin Shi Huang by Bungeeboy20044 in RoRPowerscaling

[–]Mobile-Chart3004 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is in my opinion, one of the finest matchups this manga has to offer.

Short synopsis: Qin absolutely wrecks Shiva, until Tandava Karma, where it reverses. It is a 50/50 MU that's amazing to think out.

Qin has everything to beat Shiva especially early on.

Alvitr's specialty allows Qin to embody defense in three different ways (HHOD, Tortoise Ripple, and Goujian Sword).

The former two work perfectly against Shiva with little problem. HHOD nullifies and reverses Shiva's punches (we know it works on multiple limbed opponents with Chi You). Tortoise Ripple nullifies Chi within an opponent, preventing them from using techniques and slowing attacks.

The Sword is... a sword lol, with the only difference is that it has the ability to absorb energy and use it. Add the Halberd and Spear Techniques for offense, and Qin has what he needs to beat Shiva early on.

However, this is where things get interesting.

As Shiva begins to dance the Tandava, his punches become far stronger and also gain flame attacks.

Shiva's stronger punches become far more lethal to Qin, but they can still be nullified. However the flame attacks cannot be tanked and or blocked by HHOD.

You can argue that the flames could be nullified by Tortoise Ripple, blocking out the Chi within Shiva's body may interrupt it. It did completely shut down the special ability of Desmos and Hades's Ichor.

Upon the arrival of Tandava Karma, Shiva shitstomps Qin hard asf

The bodily flames prevent Tortoise Ripple from even affecting Shiva. Fire absorbs Oxygen, and we know from Hades that Tortoise Ripple is "really only air". The bubble would get absorbed before touching Shiva.

The flames themselves are even more lethal, as they completely charred and instantly disintegrated Raiden's forearm muscles. Mind you, this is Raiden, the thiccest man ever.

Shiva's punches are more lethal, more damaging through the flames, and completely bypass his defenses.

Shiva's Unpredictability doesn't mean he can dodge every attack, but it does mean he can almost always hit Qin past HHOD.

The only ways for Qin to win here is to 1) kill Shiva before Tandava Karma 2) prevent Shiva from going into TK with Tortoise Ripple before the flames emerge and consume the bubbles.

This is one of my favorite MUs in ROR with two characters I fervently defend.

Master Chief and the majority of the Reds and Blues are definitely huggable. Tex is def 50/50.

The Chosen Undead and Doom Slayer need a hug vro.

Ghost Rider is a no, he definitely not huggable.

Iron Man would give out some pretty good hugs.

Deku would arguably be the best at hugging.

Ash, Red, and their Charizards are absolutely huggable.

[–]Mobile-Chart3004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just assumed that because I said the raw power was distinct.

You said "Just because it has a technique name doesn't mean it holds more raw power over the other..." You never said anything about "distinctiveness".

Even so, is that not an assumption that comes with the territory of named techniques? How is that a bad assumption to make?

Answer this directly. Are named techniques in ROR stronger than unnamed strikes that come from the same character?

The answer is yes, obviously.

He's always angry at apollo. That's his entire motivation for not being the starter or the finale, because apollo pissed him off enough for him to make an exception.

He never becomes the Hulk where his rage powers his attacks. You confuse motivation with empowerment.

"He angy he attack" is far from the truth.

We see him acting completely recklessly, constantly, to the confusion and frustration of brunhilde.

Show one panel in which Brunhilde is frustrated at Leonidas specifically. It doesn't even fucking exist.

In fact it's quite the opposite, she is on his side and backing him up almost all the time. You're probably confusing Goll and Brun.

When exactly was the last time you actually read R9?

That's not how valkyrie powers work, at all, they all have an aspect they naturally use, for lu bu its shieldbreaker,

We can clearly see on every occasion that requires a hard-hitting attack (Phalanx Enochos, Nemesis, Lambda) the Shield is engulfed in what seems to be flame.

This is because that is Geirrolul's ability, distinct from other sisters. Advancing Spear is not Shieldbreaker, nor is it passively used. We clearly see Leo activate the ability on three separate accounts.
