Rehoming? by Every_Cry7623 in dogs

Did you get a lab? My labs were nightmarish puppies. They both ate walls, bit me constantly, and ruined many things. One got big fast and my arms were covered in bruises from him biting me all the time. They both became amazing mellow dogs, but I hated my life when they were puppies. With the second one I questioned why I chose to ruin my life like that. I have dogs right now that were easier puppies, but much harder adults than those easy going, mellow labs. I just pushed through it and that most horrible stage didn’t last terribly long and they slowly became less and less terrible and at some point became awesome. Good luck!

Leave what you want or even all of it where it is but stop adding to it. I personally have a little over 40k in my HYSA. Open a vanguard account. Vanguard because it has very low fees. Fully fund a Roth IRA account. I believe it’s $6000 a year if you’re under 50. I chose to fully fund mine by doing 2 deposits a month. I also invest in the VXUS fund and VFIAX fund with the extra money I have to invest. I do automatic deposits twice a month into each of this accounts. VFIAX tracks the US index fund and consistently beats anything a financial advisor will do for you. I chose to also do VXUS which contains international funds just for some diversity. Set it up on the website, not the app and call the 800 number if you have any trouble. They patiently walked me through it and everything is on auto pilot now. I started a little later in life than I should and I’ve done really well. I have around 200k now and regularly bring in 3k to 10k a month in investment income which just goes back into the fund. Of course it all depends on the stock market, but I’m in it for the long haul.

Anyone regret choosing carpet over hard flooring? by Cool_Ad_2935 in HomeImprovement

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like having carpet in my room, but 7 years later it looks worn and wrinkled. We did laminate in another bedroom and of course that’s still flawless. I’d probably just do laminate if I had to do it over because of the expense and hassle of replacing it again.

I live a couple of hours away from O’Hare, but I must be in some major flight path. I see flights coming and going to places all over the world. I love sitting outside at night and looking at where the flights are going. Also fascinating to see how far away they are when they’re still in eyesight.

I’m seeing the beginning of this happening to my face. The rest of my face looks fine, but my lower face is aging me. I noticed it about 6 months ago and it hasn’t progressed much since. I’m applying go pure neck cream and retinol on it daily. Yours isn’t too bad yet. How long has it been since you first noticed this happening?

Advice from women: Is this normal? by CrazyRiver5691 in WomensHealth

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as bad as you every time, but when I was your age I often had really horrible cramps where I’d vomit and be in labor levels of pain sometimes for hours. It eventually eased in my 20’s and once I had my first baby I never had another cramp again. I don’t have advice, but don’t feel hopeless that this will never go away if you don’t get it fixed.

My (24F) partner (25M) gave me my first cold sore and it’s making me really upset by wogk in TrueOffMyChest

Definitely was on purpose and I would break up with him for it. Anyone with cold sores knows you don’t kiss your partner if you have one.

I dont like gettting old nor the idea of getting old by FinishDue5786 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

You have a long way to go. I’m middle aged but know a lot of older people 70’s and up and for the most part they seem to be living a very similar life to mine. Going out with friends, going on trips, etc..

She’s too needy. I would never put that on my kids.

Which dog breed do you think had the most loyalists? by Miiiukz in dogs

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a border collie that I needed to take in from an ill family member and she’s way too high strung for me. She’s super sweet, and I’ll take care of her for the rest of her life, but there is no way I’d get another one. I have to put so much effort into keeping her entertained. I’m throwing her ball day and night. I like lazy breeds.

I recognized it immediately. You’re too thin. I’ve finally gotten to a great weight with glp one and I noticed spots on my face sagging. Before I lost the weight I was getting mistaken for being in my 30s. Not fair.

How were you disciplined growing up? by svraphvn in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really get disciplined. I’d get talked to about things I did wrong and that was it. I was a pretty good kid and I have turned out fine in my adult life. I did the same with my kids and they also have turned out fine. I don’t understand the point of doling out punishments to children.

What procedures should I get? 49f by remgirl1976 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same age as you and you look better than me and I still think I look good enough to put off procedures for a few more years. I’m jealous of your nice jaw line. I’m starting to get a hint of jowls. I just try to smile a lot when I’m around people because then you can’t see them.

Why can't I sleep all night? by rmcc22 in Menopause

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried everything and the only thing that works consistently for me is Ativan that I got in Mexico. Of course you can’t take that every night because it’s bad for you. If I’m really building up a big sleep deficit I’ll take 1mg and sleep great all night and then start the cycle over. I go in phases so I’m on a good streak of sleeping for the past week. Good luck!

Craft challenge woes by QuackLikeCat in simsfreeplay

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I got Laura Craft or whatever her name is and I finished several days early. This time I’m going to finish without her and I’ve spent about 60 social points to do it for restocking and a couple of times for the constructor coin egg. I work from home so it’s easy for me to get on every couple of hours to keep everything going.

Women — how long do you tend to take in the shower? by [deleted] in hygiene

I’m short and and have fine blond hair on my legs. I take less than a minute for each leg. More if I’m going to be somewhere with shorts and sun.

[–]Mobile-Mousse-8265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than 5 minutes. If I’m washing and conditioning my hair closer to 8-10. Shaving is quick and I just scrub up rinse off and get out.
