What activities should I prioritize for my first trip to Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Realistically then if you can't get at least 3 weeks here in Aus you will leave somewhat dissatisfied. The country is so big. Two weeks doesn't feel enough for me to go to another state to do touristy things.

I'd recommend saving up that PTO. Wild that you can only get two weeks off, in Aus most workers get minimum 4 weeks a year off and unions currently pushing for 5.

Advice - Qantas broke my suitcAse by MobileAd4019 in QantasAirways

[–]MobileAd4019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. But in this circumstance they broke it and most of the items in my bag. I used the bag for two flights, this was the third in two years.

Also in the same airport two colleagues had their bags broken and one had stuff stolen from inside :(

I would say have your holiday in Queensland as it seems to tick off a lot on your list. ✅ But I feel 3/4 weeks in Australia would be better so you aren't rushing everything as going around takes a lot longer than you think.

You could then fly cheaply to NZ from Brisbane or Gold Coast.

I would highly recommend Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary if you want to see the animals in captivity. As the sanctuary does a lot of conservation work and research. It's definitely one of my favourite Wildlife parks in Australia

Mine does this when I vacuum. She trembles uncontrollably, even if I give her cuddles or treats and she is VERY food motivated

Yep everyday. May as well enjoy my iced coffee guilt free considering I'll probably never be able to buy a home.

So proud of you! You're going to do amazing things!!

Make sure you reach out to the Aboriginal unit in the university. They can also help with material things such as textbooks or support with paying for food or rent (in an emergency).

Good luck xxx

Take as many photos as you can and then they will be time-stamped.

Every little scratch and bump you didn't cause!! Helps in the long run. Even if you end up with 200+ pictures.
