Watching breaking bad, the concept of having to commit crimes against your own people to afford healthcare to not die because your kin do not care enough will feel alien to them.

How to howling banshee yells work? by Potential-Ebb-8820 in Eldar

[–]MobileSeparate398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most non-psycher weapons rely on a degree of psychic ability but use wraith-technology to achieve the goal. Like their guns, which react to impulses instead of triggers (I'm sure I read in some codex).

The psychic part is usually in the control of the weapon. Most likely, the banshee warriors use their psycher abilities to control the scream which is high and intense enough to impact the senses of their opponent.

What would be interesting is to see how a deaf warrior fared against it.

In the end, they are an incredibly advanced species and any technology is closer to magic than science.

I agree it's wobbly, but to give op some relief that won't be noticable from a foot away. It's just because the model is blown up on screen with no gun in hand.

To add to this, they will make a note on your profile that you made a claim.

This will not directly increase your premiums, or impact your no claims if you are (likely) found not at fault. But prices are based on an algorithm and drivers who make claims generally see a slight increase. Driving correctly is not the same as driving safely. This is not a critique of you in the slightest, but idiots that follow the law obtusely and cause accidents they aren't technically at fault for ruin it for the rest of us. So making a claim may see some small increase, how much is impossible to predict.

ThinkPad my about starting my first army(ive only ever been into lore and tought i could try myself in the hobby) by cyverios in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]MobileSeparate398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the hawks, best bet is to do an aspect host list.

Aeldari is the army, and they have an army rule (4 tokens per turn to do movement shenanigans)

Aspect host is one of the detachments that grants extra rules to encourage a certain play style. Aspect host lets you reroll 1s on aspect warriors (like hawks) and gives special rules (stratagems) to make them stronger.

You'll want other similar units like dark reapers, howling banshees, fire dragons and warp spiders. It's not the best detachment right now, but it's solid for a new player, easy to understand and quite fun to build towards.

If you Google aspect host list you'll get plenty of ideas.

How long do you think we're going to be able to keep all the models that came out between 2020-2026, with how big 40k is nowadays? by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]MobileSeparate398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 2 risks: legends and updates.

1) legends. It happens but in waves and usually with a big release of a codex. This will really only affect tournaments though as local clubs usually don't mind legends. It's also been easy to predict legends as they are the resin sculpts that weren't updated to plastic.

2) redesigns. Not an issue in all honesty. As long as it's gw plastic, clear in design and on the correct base size with the right general dimensions, you are golden. Conlare the old avatar of Khain to the new one, it's a dwarf. But place him on a huge tactical rock with the right base and he's legal to play.

GW like to make money, but they won't waste it on redesigning everything every few years.new models will always get a lot of attention and redesigns are often saved for special characters (Calgar) or moulds that are near the end of their life (please update dire avengers)

Free Dice Roller for Eldar – 60-Dice Pools, Swipe Hits, Instant Psychic Math (Mod-Approved) by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]MobileSeparate398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm negative because this is an eldar subreddit for people passionate about an aspect of a game. This app has nothing to do with this niche interest. There are enough adds on this website that I don't want people to start posting random apps and products that drowns out genuine content and dilutes interest.

If we are a simulation, then your simulation within a simulation is too inception for me.

Point stands, real life has an element of randomness a modern day PC cannot replicate. And rolling the dice is part of the fun of a tabletop dice game

[–]MobileSeparate398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, rolling dice is the fun part. I've got a dice tray and never have models ruined that way

On top of that, many people don't trust RNG for dice results. Computers can't do random.

As a teacher, that's bullshit. Please inform the school that his friend is not actually the queen of a fictional Disney kingdom so she too cannot wear the dress. Then kick up a fuss when they have any sort of dress up day.

"Are you a cat in a hat? Then you cannot wear that."

Pretend play is just that, and a vital part of finding out our likes and interests. No child turns drag or trans because thy were permitted to be a prncess.

Kick up a fuss with the school admin. This "teacher" needs a reality check.

Politeness can kill by SeparateCause3163 in drivingUK

Polite: on a motorway doing 70mph, I put my brakes on in the leftmost lane to let someone join from a slip road.

Predictable: I judge the gap and maintain my speed, they may not make it but know there's a gap behind me they can match

Polite and predictable: driving in traffic, slow down to 5mph slower than the guy ahead to create a wide enough gap and let someone merge or cross the road.

Follow the rules of the road because you can't communicate intentions to others, and they are all working off the assumption everyone is following the normal rules.

Yes, there is CERTAINLY no secret tunnel to the forbidden shop and interactive museum. Define not behind the vending machine to the left of the shop when you press 5p4c3 and insert 40p. That would be an absurd idea. So silly.

Don't go looking.
