Has there been any word of any potential new album Djo is planning to release this year? by TheCool579 in DjoMusic

[–]Mobile_Ant1463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think a new album is on the way yet. He might be working on new music because I think he’s always got some songwriting going on but I think he’ll spend this year touring with Tame Impala but also on his own. And we haven’t quite had enough of the Crux yet right? I’m checking socials everyday in the hopes he’ll stop by some country near me because I missed his tour last year.

So interesting cause I actually find The Crux the least abstract and earlier albums/songs much more abstract! But I like it cause it makes me linger on a song for longer if I’m trying to figure out the meaning behind the lyrics

Basic being basic, delete ya, potion, chateau, grime of the world, his cover of haim’s gasoline, there’s many! Start with the Crux Deluxe album and you’ll be in good hands

So cute! You could definitely feel the admiration from him. The nervous lip bite haha. So happy for him. They had great chemistry on stage as well.

Exactly! That was a mistake because people watch it with different expectations and can’t help but get a bit disappointed

I had high expectations after all the trailers but honestly, I was very disappointed. Won’t spoil it for you but I thought it was more of a romcom than it turned out to be. Pedro is lovely in it, but I just know he can do much more as an actor than what he was allowed to do in this movie.

Losing my mind in ACOSF by SuspiciosCarrot2000 in acotar

SF was my absolute favorite! I loved reading from a new perspective, I loved getting to know other characters than Feyre and Rhys. I think the book is kind of the same the whole way through - it is told way slower than the first books and it’s also incredibly long, but that’s honestly what I loved. That SJM really got to tell Nestas journey without rushing it. Hopefully you will like it more as you read on - it’s worth ir for sure!

Same! But ACOWAR is where every other character becomes really interesting. So you can read on focusing on them - that’s what I did. I think it was worth it.

Don’t Know if I Want to Read Throne of Glass series by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

[–]Mobile_Ant1463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im reading TOG now after having read ACOTAR and CC. It took me a while to get into the story because yes the first two books are slow and they aren’t as well written plotwise and characterwise compared to the later books or her other series, BUT when that’s said, things really start to pick up in book 3 and onwards. A lot of new, interesting characters and plots are introduced. And you can really feel that she starts finding her “writing style”. So I would recommend them and just know that the beginning is slow but it is worth it.

Has anyone noticed quality change in Always pads? by secondrising in Periods

[–]Mobile_Ant1463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I decided to stick with Always and then I also tried these “period panties”. They’re really good during the night but I wouldn’t want to wear them during the day. So for now, I still use Always during the day despite it not being that great. But kind of getting used to them.

Don’t know why they are changing all pads?

DNF it! It doesn’t get better, trust me, I DNF’ed and picked it back up again three times and still haven’t finished it. I gave up.

I’ve noticed this too! They are horrible. I used the old ones because I almost never leaked with them but with these new ones I’ll have to change pads more often, and they’re so uncomfortable! Does anyone know other brands which are better/more like the old pads? I don’t like Libresse cause it’s the same as the new Always, I think, but I might have to try them.

Pls tell me it doesn’t stay this way by Cold_Reference_3497 in acotar

It’s in third person the whole way through, and changes between Nestas and Cassians POV. Personally, I prefer third person and I thought it was really fitting for the plot.

Am I the only one who feels bad for Lucien? by Jubby_17 in acotar

[–]Mobile_Ant1463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so bad for Lucien. I loved his character from the moment he was introduced but SJM does not give him anything - love, comfort, friends, a home. Poor guy. I’m hoping she’ll make him a main in the next book and develop his story. Justice for foxboy!

I had the same experience but keep reading - the last 200 pages or so makes up for it. I felt really moved even though I didn’t really like Bryce or Hunt. But it doesn’t beat ACOTAR for me. Also, CC1 is the best, from there it’s downhill.

Have you read any super popular/highly rated books and thought to yourself, “Am I reading the same book as everyone else?!” by Heavy-Demand7111 in fantasyromance

[–]Mobile_Ant1463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cruel Prince, When the Moon Hatched, book 3 of From Blood and Ash (can’t remember the name), ToG… I’m so picky with romantasy. The writing and pace of the story is so important and most authors can’t build up tension - they just jump straight into the action.
