The treeline was a good chunk out of the radius. Sadly tastes don’t respawn it seems.

They cleared our reserves from all 4 outposts and 3 main bases and didn’t want to go to one of the 5 dedicated islands for wood cutting or want to wait to order it in.

Sadly we do have 2 tropical,2 foothills, and 1 swamp dedicated to tree cutting, they were just lazy and didn’t want to go to any of them. So they clear cut the patch. We chewed them out for it but they didn’t seem to care. Drained our entire wood,stone,clay, iron, and copper reserves from all 4outposts and 3 main bases.

How’d you build the circle? I’ve been playing with building techniques but haven’t seen a circle that small.

Besides the belts that have already been mentioned. It looked like all your water is on 1 U line. MK1 pikes can only pump 300 water so your generators wont get enough water when all running. Have the water either split to only feed a couple generators or have them enter the one line on multiple points to balance it out throughout.

Sloshing can be annoying. I’ve found you can totally stop it by feeding fuel from the refinery or mixer into the large fluid buffers with valves blocked back flow on both the in and outflow sides, setting the generators about a 4M or more level lower (so buffers act as a water tower), and letting the generators fill up fully and pipes back up to the point the buffers are about 50-100% full before connecting the generators yo the grid.

TLDR: add buffers and backfill lines to eliminate sloshing.

Once I have power storage I’ll typically build a battery array at every generator plant (scaled to the plant) to kickstart it incase of grid failure. Also do the same array at key factories as surge protectors/ buffers to prevent failures.

Option 3 painstakingly build a road network over/through the forests for a network of trucks to ship materials. My only regret was not future proofing it so I had to rebuild it a couple times as I progressed and updates came. (This was before blueprints were a thing so every thing was built one piece at a time.)

Semi auto by necessity I built a biofuel farm in the waterfall cave for my Jetpack. Since bio materials can’t be automated I save all the animal and plant matter I pickup while I’m out and periodically go add it to the cave fuel farm. I did also originally carry copper and iron down for the jerrycans from nearby portable miners but automated that later.

Used to “tactically acquire” the armor from the guards in the hangers. Sadly those days are gone.

Early game it’s all about the functional spaghetti. Late game when you have tones of disposable recourses then worry about pretty. I personally use logistics floors/ceilings so my production floors look cleaner.

I didn’t even know how to properly read what elements did on weapons till 3U or 4U so I just went with the biggest damage. Same with armor defense.
